Amazing work as usual Igor, beautiful!  Your sails are incredible.  Could you explain how you got the seams on the sails?  I studied your pictures, but couldn't figure out how you used the black cloth to make the seams.

Hi Mike!
Thank you for your feedback!
Sorry for my late answer - I was on vacation.
OK, I will show this process in more detail a little later.

Best Regards!
Igor.

Hi to all!

Many thanks Patrick, Carl and all who are interesting this project, for your feedbacks!
Patrick, no, I am still refraining from using any magic. :)
:All is explained very simply! I ordered laser cutting of some parts for my future projects and asked to cut out deadeyes too. Now I have deadeyes with a diameter of 1mm, 1.2mm and 2mm. :)

Very nice Lilliput work Igor,

did you buy the little laser cut parts just for the reason of having those mini deadeyes ? good idea ...;)

Hi Mike!
Please, look at these photos. The principle of this technique is shown here - yarn pulling. I'm ready to answer if you have any questions

Hello Igor

Just catching up on your great build on the Jolie Brise. You seem to be just flying along these days with so very many new ideas and techniques. Just love all of that very fine detail that you are adding to your ships seemingly so easily. Your yarn pulling techniques is just one of those that amaze me.A little further back in your log, you were showing how you made the little rings for your sails. Could you please tell me how me just how you cut your wire to leaves the edges so nice and sharp?                                                                                                                                         ENJOY.

Regards   Lawrence

Hey Lawerence!
Many thanks for your fedback!
I do not think that I often manage to come up with some new tricks or technologies. Most likely, I already knew them once earlier and now just remember :)
About rings...
First I make a spiral of the diameter I need from a brass wire. I anneal this wire beforehand. Then I cut off the rings with the tip of the scalpel. It is better to do this on a hard surface. And the knife of the scalpel should be sharp. The smallest rings that I managed to make had an inner diameter of 0.3-0.4 mm

Amazing work.  I am just now finishing up my first ship in a bottle and seeing Igor's work makes me realize what a long way I have to go.  Beautiful.

Clever. I like the solution you found to get the dark threads in the sail

Many thanks grsjax and Carl!
grsjax, I try to use simple tricks that do not require any special skills and abilities. My experience in this hobby is not too big either. So I'm sure you'll catch up with me quickly.
Were you open the your build log?

Best Regards!
Igor.

HI Igor

Thank you for the kind words.  I didn't start a build log on my ship in a bottle build because I wasn't to sure how well I was going to do with it.  I will post some pics in the completed models gallery when it is finished.  Nothing nearly so well done as yours, just a simple sloop about 1:300 scale.

My advice and comments are always worth what you paid for them.

Thanks very much Igor for posting your sail technique - the pulled thread method is a very clever way of doing it.  Really appreciate you sharing your various methods, I've learned a lot!

Hi grsjax!
Yes, I understand your doubts, because every time I start a new project, I do not know what the result will be. But I'm sure that here in the forum you can always find support or advice if necessary.

I will look forward to seeing the successful completion of your project. Good luck!

Hi Igor

Outstanding!!!!  I especially love the lights and name plates.  Speaking of which, how’d you do the lettering in the name plates?

Cheers.

Patrick

Hi Patrick!
Thank you for your support!
I ordered decals for this model. But I'm a little mistaken with the color ... The height of the letters is about 0.6-0.7 mm, so the letters are not very high quality :(.

"the letters are not very high quality" You could use a very thin Rotring pen to trace the outside or accentuate it with shadow dots ...

Lovely lights

Thank you for advice, Carl!
Yes, I sometimes use thin liners, but in this case the reason is different.

Then I proceeded to final assembly of the model on the slipway with the final installation of deck elements, fixing the rigging parts that should be fixed, drawing up the rigging wiring diagram and checking everything in general.
