Hi folks

Thanks for all of your Likes and comments.

Another quick update. Well, last night I added the bar stools to adorn the bar in the saloon.  Also, I added a chair for the writing desk on the other starboard side of the saloon.

Still more to come, folks.

Have a a great week.

Cheers.

Patrick

Hi folks.

A further update on my Genesis, Mega yacht model.

I’ve decided that her owner is a massive art-freak and has adorned his ship with a couple of pretty large arty-farty murals, as well as a fancy silver sculpture in the main saloon and a shiny glass sculpture in the aft deck, adjacent to the table and chairs.

I hope you enjoy these photos.

Cheers

Patrick

I would think that to own a yacht this shape you have to be an eclectic Art collector, the yacht itself alluding to this habit.

Hi everyone!

A very special thanks to all who liked and commented on Genesis’ progress.  Michael, Carl and Piet-many thanks as well!

I’ve progressed a little further by venturing into fitting out the Beach Club at the stern of Genesis. I’ve adorned this space with some more art work, setties and lounges for lounging around in.  Just forward of the Beach Club, I’ve also added Genesis’ Control Room.  This is where the crew can oversee the operation of her engines and machinery. I’ve added a few computers on the desk, just to add a touch of realism to the room.

I hope you like these photos.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Patrick

Always admired your mini builds, just noticed the painting on the wall of a sitting room I believe at the stern. Your really missing the boat. It is close to a  Picasso with a little skewing and stretching of the face making it almost like Scream (don't know if Picasso did that one) you may be sitting on a million dollar piece of art.;)

Hi John

Hehehe!  You wouldn’t believe where I got that picture from!  It’s from a wine bottle catalogue that I received in the post a couple of weeks ago.  Who would’ve thought that a face like that could adorn a wine bottle label, hey?

...and to think, they say that alcohol’s not good for ya!

Cheers

Hello Patrick

Just catching up on your great build. You ner fail to amaze me with all of that very fine detail that you add so very seemingly easy. I have been thinking that I must add a lot more detail to my Oliver Cromwell build, that is if I ever get that far. Every yacht that you build seams to surpass all of your previous builds that I figured that was truly impossible to do but you have and are doing it,                                         ENJOY.                                                   Regards   Lawrence

Many thanks Lawrence!

Hi folks

Just another quick update on Genesis’ interior accommodation.  I know it’s only a small part, but a couple of days ago, I did the crews mess up forward on the Lower Deck.

I also did the companionway ladder leading from the aft of the Main Deck to the Upper Deck.  And...as the furniture layout in the Sky

Lounge was really bugging me, I rearranged things a bit and came up with a better look, I think.

Still more work to go, folks.

Have a great Christmas!

Cheers.

Patrick

Haha!  Thanks, Carl.

Please don’t expand the photos too much as you’ll really see the rough edges and mistakes!  Seriously, why does magnifying things have to be soooo cruel!

I see what you mean about the Lower Deck having the ‘necessities only’...well, where else are the hired help going to live???  You don’t want to spoil them...!

Have a great week.

Cheers

Hey, Omega!

Me and my family are very well. But the summer this year had been so warm that I was more interested in swimming, barbecue with friends and family as to sit in my dockyard. And there had been two wonderful journeys with my admiral to the Lofoten (north Norway) and to Denmark.

Best regards

Angarfather

on the : Staatenjacht Utrech

At last finished:

Gianna a Pinco Genovese

Hi Angarfather

What’s life without some enjoyment, hey? Swimming, barbecuing, friends and family...all food for the soul.  Enjoy!

The dockyard can always wait.

Cheers
