started to plank the wales and the molding strip, so .... how do i ....@@.!@.........!!! and many other words😲

i **** my leg on this ,  the molding strip is not good at the bow ,

there is 2 planks over the wales , i can get 3 planks fittet here,

its seems to me i didden do a good job for the plank run and it seems that the gunport sills is to high .....

so i think i need to ripp all of included all the port sills and re do everything , this is a bad day!!

Its looking just as it is supposed to at this stage.  You are doing some fine work on it.   Just take your time and dont rush it.  Keep that planking neat and nice and tight.   Dont forget to simulate the caulking between planks.   Running a pencil along one edge of teh joint is just perfect on cedar.

Svein,

Great work. I am currently building the Cheerful as well. I am at about the same point as you. This such a great build and a whole lot better than my previous "kit builds" I have done in the past. I have started a build log as well.

Keep up the super work and I am looking forward to following your build.

Svein Erik,

Your Cheerful is coming along fine. It is a blessing to have Chuck’s advice as you build your model. That is a true rarity, and a surety that you will have the best possible outcome. VERY few companies would offer that kind of support! It’s nice too, that it makes it so much more of a personal experience, your not just another

number, but a fellow ship modeler.

Looking great. I have to check my build. I know that I used 3 planks up tp the sheer I see 2 wider planks. I hope I did not screw up. I will let you know. Great job so far

Ric

I checked and there indeed 3 strakes above the 1/16 molding and I see that  yours are as well. I have no idea what I was looking at. Keep up the good work.

thanks for coments and likes,

the planking of the stern has bin dunn and also the counter has bin painted with thinn layers og crimson red (about 15 layers)

i also add the fashion pieces , this i had to add in 2 pieces ( i had to make many of them because the allways splitt when bending this curve)

i do think its not going to be seen when its finish painting .

the next is to add the wales planks after i tapperd the first layer at the bow and step ovet to do the dropp plank!
