Hello Modelshipworld.

As a new member to this forum, I would like to introduce myself.

Coming from Denmark, northern part of Jutland.

I'm 65 years old,and I'm now retired from my work as an IT-Architecht in a major Danish Company, now owned by Japanese NEC.

In fact, I've been building most of my life, mostly shipmodels. However, when kids were young, the building was on stand by.

Now in my retirement, I've started again.

So far I've been building

- Danish Naval Training Ship "Danmark"

- Titanic

- An old danish warship "Jylland"

- Cruiseship Andrea Doria

- Motor yacht for Royal Danish yacht "Dannebrog". This is the one where Her Majesty the Queen goes from harbour to "Dannebrog".

My next project will be a model of "Dannebrog", so I'm collecting drawings, pictures etc of it. I plan to build in 1:75 or 1:100, depending of the drawings I hope to find.

Looking forward to participate in this forum.

Greetings from sunny Denmark

Per Rise

Welcome aboard, Per Rise.   You've done excellent work on those ships.  I hope you'll do a log so we can follow along.

From one Per to another Per, Bedste Velkommen to MSW.
You certainly have some ship modelling skills.

Scratch building Dannebrog shouldn't give you any problems.

I have BB's Danmark which is not started - will wait with it until my ship yard has space for it.

Welcome to Model Ship World Per.  You have built some very fine models.  I hope you start a build log on your Dannebrog as we would like to follow your progress on this build.

Hello Per and welcome from a long way away in Australia. But, although I have never visited your country it is strong in my heritage with both grand parents being Danish. My grandfather came to Australia around 110 years ago and was a leading figure in the Danish Club. I am also 65 years old.

But the similarities end there, your work is fantastic and I am on my third model. Love your work, well done.

You wish welcome from ‘sunny Denmark’.... where I live in Canberra is usually sunny, and can be very hot, but this  nearby hills last week...looks more like Europe?
