I can hear the plaintive cries of King Agamemnon over the wave tops, crying to be taken home to his funeral pyre.  TO DO THAT HE NEEDS A SHIP,  his own ship , one that was named after him.

Unfortunately it's still in the box. :D  :D  :D

Mizzen Mast is looking great my friend. :dancetl6:

Hi Sjors,

Your Mizzen mast is more complicated and difficult than my Main...  m1828.gif

Great work...

I am certainly not a competent to say that but what I see is the improvement of your skills and the decrease of the managing time along even a single build...

Best Regards…

@ Kevin,

It only takes you a little while before you are at the same stage… :D

But thanks !

@ Mick,

I show you how it works , so you can do it also……

I'll be waiting for you, so we can do both the rigging…..

@ Mobbsie,

I was talking to the Aggy and told her what you was saying to her.

And she agree with you !

But unfortunately , I have to build her so she still says in the box till the time is there to start on her  :P

Also thanks  :D  :D  :D

@ Ferit,

Wait till you see the fore and main mast  ;)

There are more stuff on it that I thought.

And thank you !

My skills are in a elevator…..slowly but it is coming !

And thank you also  :D

WOW, quite a bit of progress there Sjors, I am amazed at how tall those masts are, I never imagined they would be that high....now it is bringing about nightmares of all the string that will be needed to cover them up :P

Arrgh !  There aint no strings on a fully rigged ship :D  :D .  Rope, when turned into rigging, becomes 'lines'.

Ok, here we go again !

@ Sam,

You can call me how you like :D

How to pronounce my name…….that's a good question to ask it in words….

And how do you think that I can tell you that in words ???????

I shall try it..

You don't say it with a Y but with a J.

How about that !

Otherwise ask Wayne about it.

He knows how it sounds……or Frank ( Riverboat ) or Popeye.

And if you can't reach them, what about Mobbsie ?

I forget the most important person on this forum……Anja !!!!!!!!

@ Wayne,

She becomes even higher with the main mast…..

And thank you :D

@ Patrick,

The ratlines can be a little bit later then expect..

I have first to make the other two masts and the bowsprit.

And from friday I have to work my own shifts again.

Not much time anymore for building :(

@ Robbyn,

Thank you also :D:D

The main mast is even higher ….

It is just like a skyscraper…

The sky is the limit :D:D:D:D

@ Augie,

I'm happy that you are saying the right words.

Always nice to see that a teacher need some lessons :P

@ Adam,

I have give Augie a bunch of cookies but if it will help ?

I don't know.

And then your last line…..

Are all the other masts not straight ???

Or is it the Mirage what you are talking about ?

Say it please, I can have it ( I can say that with a sledge hammer in my hand… :D:D:D )

Sjors, masts look great!

Hhhhmmmm perhaps we can call you the Sjorserers Aprentice?

Which brings up another question, how do you pronounce your name? In my head I hear it as "Syours."

Sam

Sam,

I think the closest to describing how to pronounce Sjors, would be "See Yours", which of course explains why he is always asking for pictures of other people's builds!!! :P :P :P

By the way, nice work on the mast SeeYours!

Posted (edited)

Thanks you all…..

@ Sam,

I'm always late for dinner….. ;)

@ Adriaan,

Sjors en Sjimmie….wow, that's old !

And thanks  :D

@ Sherry,

You are not the only one that needs a ladder.

In the future I do also  :D

And also thanks !

@ Grant,

I like that see yours……

Almost my name  :D  :D

And thanks for the nice words  :D

@ Jan,

In English my name is George, so that's not a problem.

I like the idea of google translation.

Then they can hear my name correctly.

I think you have the same problem?

They can not say the J correctly.

And it is so easy…..nobody in the Netherlands have problems with that  :P

Hi Sam,

Now you know how my name sounds…. :D  :D

I'm working on the fore and main mast.

Shape it and then paint all the bits and putting them together.

You've seen the mizzen mast ,so nothing new.

When that's finished, you ail see pictures.
