Perhaps you should all upload an example of your best singing, so that we actually KNOW who sings best.

Well.., since you asked. I do not want to brag or anything, but here is an example with a close friend...

Wow,

That you tube clip bring back memories……

I have Pavarotti in my car about 14 years ago….

And when I was young and innocent ( 5 years ago :P ) I was a big fan of that number.

Thanks Larry!

I glad everyone liked the video - I'm keeping it in my favorites.  :)

As I mentioned earlier, I found the James Brown & Luciano Pavarotti duet by accident. The Admiral and I have been watching “The Voice” with Christina Aguilera as one of the judges. I recognized her name and heard she was a great singing talent but could not recall hearing any of her recordings, so the great hunt was on. I found a number of YouTube videos with her singing but did not really care for the song choice or genre, so I kept looking and found this video of Christina singing the same song but she made it her song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hYi4bxaMbs&feature=youtube_gdata_player which blew me away (she starts 2 minutes from the start of the video - well worth waiting). So much power and control!!! Her video was linked to the James Brown & Luciano Pavarotti duet. Who in their right mind would wonder gee, I wonder if James Brown and Luciano Pavarotti ever recorded together?” All three – great talents.

Back to ship building....

Larry

It takes still a little bit more then 116 months before I'm retired, I can do something in the spare hours that I have left……

The mast are done.

Everything is dry fit, so I can put all the stuff that's need on to the mast.

And no, not the shrouds and ratlines after that.

There is also a bowsprit that I have to do.

When that is done, I can go to the fun part  :D  :D  :D  :D

Looking really good Sjors

There's an awful lot to do now isn't there???

We seem to be doing things very differently

You seem to be just putting the mast sections together whereas I am putting all the extras as it where on prior to construction

All ways work I guess

Hi Mick,

I have put all the mast together, but dry fit.

This is just for the pictures.

They are now in several pieces at the workbench.

But there is still a lot to do before everything goes glued together.

So, not much difference then.

Thanks for the good word  :D  :D

Nice to see some pictures in your log Sjors!  Shes quite the beauty.  I honestly don't know how you manage two of these ships at the same time!

Cheers,

Jason

I can see it now, Sjors posing his ship in front of the room door to take more photos next time he has some progress to report, someone unknowingly rushes into the room, slamming open the door..... and smash-o... nuthin' but kindling...... :o

Hope you can lock the door from the inside, with something secure.... like 5/8" chain....

Thank you all again  :D  :D

@ Jason,

It's not that difficult.

First you need plenty of space to build two of those big kits.

Then when you have enough of one , goes to the other  :D

You can keep them at the same stage.

And I see the Mirage as a learning ship for the San Ildefonso.

Mistakes with one, you can avoid with the other.

@ Larry,

Thank you  :D

@ Augie,

When she is standing in front of the door, i'm calling Anja that she has to stay downstairs……

And she listen to me  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Now she is back again, high on the shelf !

@ Robbyn,

I can hear the sound of the applause….. :D  :D  :D

@ Sherry,

The measurement of the ship are :

Length : 1290 mm

Hight    : 895 mm

Width   : 470 mm

And when you see it in real it is huge !

@ Sam,

Thanks  :D

And it is no cart but a workbench from Dremel…..

No, not that one from Augie but from Anja  :D

It's a nice working standard.

And I know only one sailor song….Girls Girls Girls form Sailor .

And I like that videoclip from them ( the original )  :D  :D  :D
