Hi Sjors,

The progress looks really good...

Are there two capstans?

Sorry that I missed your post Ferit  :(

Yes, there are two capstans, one with the bars and one without, don't ask me why maybe one in reserve???????

Thanks guys,

@ Mark , may I ask you what is step 6 ????

My second name is Peter .. :D:D:D:D:D

@ Adriaan,

Rigging is gonna take a while.

But I'll do it another way then on the Mirage.

I'm gonna get for the Mirage new rope and start all over again…..

When? I don't know, when the time is there…..

@ Thanks Eddie aka Elsie :D

Be welcome at my build log.

The popcorn machine is spinning , so if you want some just take !

Mark will take care of the drinks.

Wow ,what a response on 2 capstans…...

Hello Sjors,

I had thought that you hadn't missed my post because of the comment above... :D

Wow, you can answer without knowing even the question... :D You are a wise man...

(What I see are the one on the forecastle, the other on the main deck...)

Morning Ferit,

I'm not that wise….

Anja told me that I had to answer your question…..

One capstan on the forecastle and indeed one at the main deck.

I still don't know the reason for that.

But it is saying on the drawing, so I'll do that  :D

If they are putting a Moose on the gun deck, I put a Moose on that  :)

No problem at all….

Early in the morning and as you guys are waking up…yep, an update

I place the bars at the hull.

I don't know how they call them and what are the purpose of those bars.

Maybe someone can shine a light on it ?

Thank you….

Hi Mick,

Thanks  :D

Those tools are very handy.

I only want a smaller drill…….this one is to big.

I think I buy the one from Proxxon.

The 1/2 of your build is already done with the tools you use.

And because Anja goes to the dark side, she need it !

The four cannons at the lower deck are in place……..

Because the deck was to low and the cannons are rusting on the lower part of the gun port, I had to put a little piece of wood under the carriages so they came a little higher.

You don't see it, but I know it….and of course you are all knowing it also but don't see it  :D  ( I hope )

Then to show you how it looks, pictures….. :)

Gosh, Sjors - all these pictures are gonna really spoil us!  Fortunately, they are pictures of a nice looking model ship (no moose, spiders, gnomes or ground hogs) - armed with more teeth all the time it appears!

The cannon look good - well done!

Nicely done Sjors. Using shims to get the cannon to the right height has worked very well for you.

What shims?  All I see are nicely centered canons.  Keep going  :)  :)

The cannons look very nice and perfectly level

I can understand why shims would be necessary as the smallest part of a mm differing level shows up like half a metre on a model

As far as I can see all the cannon on the Endeavour are either on the main deck or swivel cannon on the railings so I shouldn't have too many difficulties

I shouldn't say things like that should I  :piratetongueor4:

Thank you again all  :D  :D  :D

@ Wayne,

I don't like spiders and all those animals in the house…..

I have enough with Anja... :D  :D  :D  :D

Don't get use to the pictures.

Because I'm at the part now that i can make pictures, I will make them.

@ Grant,

Thanks

I didn't know that the piece of wood under the carriages are called shims…..

Learning again  :)

@ Augie,

Also thanks  :D

And yes, I keep on going….

It's now time I think to put on the gun port lids...

@ Larry,

Thanks….and your welcome for the pictures  :D

@ Mick,

Also thanks.

When I placed the cannons, the barrel was touching the bottom of the gun port...

I have to figure it out what to do so they are not doing that.

Solution…shims  :D

But learn an other lesson…….dry fit the cannons on the lower deck before you place an other deck.

When I did that, I can do some modifications on the gun port.

A lot more space !

@ Adrieke,

Thank you

@ Shaz,

Also thank you.

But I thought you where some where on the lake in the Chris Craft…..

Or do you take your laptop on board?
