bwross11 Posted October 24, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2022 Hello all, I have been loitering in the background for a few months to try and get a lay of the land, or site as the case maybe. Decided it is probably time to introduce myself. Retired USNavy, did 22 years in the canoe club, mostly aboard cruisers and destroyers and two Admiral's staff. I am primarily interested in warships of the mid-20th century. I scratchbuild in 1/144 scale, very long story as to how I landed in that scale that I won't bore you with. Anyway, I have modeled the USS San Francisco CA38 and that model is in the Mare Island Shipyard Museum. Have three others in various stages of construction. I am extremely impressed with the builds that I have seen on this site and am hoping to learn a lot of new, innovating techniques that I can put toward my simple builds.
