Thanks again... :D  :D

@ Bug,

Work is not that bad ....it cost only a lot of hobby time .....

@ Wayne,

The Gnomes want to have a zoo now  :P

@ Piet,

Why not crow-feet on the Surabaya ?????

You can do it !!!!!!!!

@ Mark,

Thanks !!

@ Greg,

Also thanks and I shall try to answer your question.

When I make the lanyards ( the ropes between the deadeyes ) i tie them down with a single knot.

When all the lanyards are on i just let it go that way for say a day.

Then I un-knot ( right word ?) the knot and put a little tension to each shroud.

When all of them are done I let is go for another day and then I repeat myself.

After 3 or 4 days there is no stretch anymore in the rope and it stays like that.

I finish the lanyard to the shroud and keep them the same hight.

Is this answering your question?

If some else has a better explanation ,please be my guest !!!!!!!!

@ Hennie,

I think that I am in the shadow of your Aggy !!!!!!

The only thing that I can do is my best.

And I know that there are builders who wants it to be "historical " right.

But that's not for me.

I enjoy it and that's for me what counts.

You're welcome Greg,

It's always difficult to explain something in a different langue.

I was repeating myself what I should write down when I was driving the bus in Rotterdam Centre  :D  :D

I have to correct myself Sjors, before Jan does ;) .  Yes my VOC model  does have crowfeet on all masts.  I just looked at the Batavia replica so my model must have them also.

It makes sense though.  So, it looks like I'll have zoo as well ;)

Cheers,

An update who is not a update.......

I have to take all the shrouds down and make them again....

Why ?

Because there are to many mistakes on them.

I served the wrong one ( only one I have served because my rope server is broken )

That's why I also not served the stay's.....

The snake is not what I want....it looks clumsy.

The rope that I used for the shrouds  get there are snap strands ( I use google translation for that snap strands....I hope it is correct )

So I removed all of it and will do it again.

Ordered rope at Morope and ordered a new rope server by the Syren company.....

When there is an update again I will show you .

For now....have a nice day and I will be working again !

Bummer, dude - but if you aren't satisfied, then a re-do is the way to go!  I thought things were already looking good, so can only imagine the next result!

Sjors... that requires courage, my friend. But believe me... the sense of satisfaction you will get will be enormous!!!  :)

Been there, done that.  ;)

There aren't but two options: do it FAST, or do it RIGHT.

Current Project Build Log: Soleil Royal in 1/72. Kit by Artesania Latina.

Last finished projectsRoyal Ship Vasa 1628; French Vessel Royal Louis 1780. 1/90 Scale by Mamoli. 120 Cannons

Future projects already in my stash: Panart: San Felipe 1/75; OcCre: Santísima Trinidad 1/90;

Wish List: 1/64 Amati Victory, HMS Enterprise in 1/48 by CAF models.

So much to build, so little time!

I thought they looked good myself Sjors, but like the others have said, if you're not happy, it's best to re-do.  :)

A bold decision but a wise decision. If something bothers you, you'll keep on focusing on it and you'll get more frustrated.

The best of luck. Keep on the good work !

Kind regards

Thank you for the support !!!!

I just received an E-mail that my rope server is on the way to this little country.

Quick service !!!!!

So thanks for that !!!!!!

When I also have my rope I can go further on the journey  :D  :D

@ Wayne,

Between looking at a picture and seeing it in real time is a big difference !!!

But as everyone is saying.....when it is giving you bad feelings with what you have done....re-do it !!!!!!

And with this one I'll be re-doing things all the time  :(

@ Ulises,

I don't know if it is courage or stupidity  ;)  ;)

(the sense of satisfaction you will get will be enormous!!!   :))

I love this line !!!!!!!!!! :D  :D  :D  :D

@ Jason,

The mizzen mast and a part of the main mast have there ratlines.......

But not at my usual standard so now I get another change........ ;)

@ George,

Just what I was saying to Wayne.....there is a difference.

Also when I make a picture., I can play with it.

It can be looking better then how it really is......

@ Christian,

Thanks !!!!!!!!

Good on you, Sjors.  I quite agree with the others, if you're not happy with something, do it again.    :)

The rope server and the rope.....

At the end of this post you will see pictures of it.

So delivery from Germany is just as long as a delivery from the USA....6 days !

Long live all the postman's around this globe  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

And now you can yel, common start making those stay's.....no excuses anymore but to bad for you, I have one excuse..... :(

I ordered the wrong color for the stay's !

They should be black and ( my mistake ) I ordered beige

So I ordered new one and will wait for that.

In the mean while I'm gonna sit just relaxed and will staring at the rope server  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)

And think what fun I'm gonna have with it when I can use it sometimes this year  :D  :D  :D
