Nicely done Randy !

You are speeding up !

I'm not that far, just takes my time with it  :P

Maybe ( I hope ) I can finish the other side of the main mast.

If not, then it will be later this week or month or year…..

Nice job Randy, Standing rigging's over 1/2 done. Running rigging soon to follow. Does the new kit come with sails or sail cloth? I think the SF1 is just cloth, but I thought I read somewhere that SF2 has presewn...

As I'm looking at the pictures and I think how it sucks that by the time they get rigged it's hard to get a good full shot without losing detail. The white background really brings out the detail. Love the stay lashings, they really seem to pop. Shrouds look great, all ratlined. Florencia's becoming quite a lovely lady.

Randy,

That's the same as I do, tie a few lines, do something else and go back again.

Only today Anja want to go to the city, so I have to follow…...

But again, Great job !

Go speed racer ! We are neck and neck. Are going to use the supplied sails? Mine look horrible so I think I will make my own. Again good job will look to see how you rig her

I stare behind the ship that departs...

I can't throw myself into the sea, beautiful is the world...

I can't cry, I have the manhood in my blood...

I translated as far as I could, a poem that I like very much...

Your SF2 rigged and seeming as she departs, made me remember it...

Furl, I like that idea, how is the sail kept tight against the yard arm ? I know it will be good at the ends but at the middle it would droop, so did they use individual ropes to secure it?

Hello randy,

Your boat rise and here you are in the heart of the matter:
The rigging!
It is the part which countered simple but if you want to respect the history by informing you a little, become it clearly more complicated, in any case (it) has a good looking!

Of the bank I look at an ocean of pleasure, or the tumult attracts you, this global movement will be your tipcart!

With sails furled, it seems to be in repose, to stay in calm at the port or anchored at the sea... At the same time there would be an uncrowded view and more static... This alternative should be taken into consideration...

While we're on the subject of sorts would/is their a foot rope on these type of ships. Every other ship I ever seen has them. Is this a AL mistake ? I could t imagine they would omit anything !

Randy,

Don't add the footropes yet... seems that footropes really didn't come into their own until the mid1600's.   Possible that they weren't on the San Francisco..or any galleon for that matter.  Been playing from Google and no definitive dates except 17th/18th century which is really vague.

Oops.. too many things going on at once...    Methinks someone got called Randy by mistake.  post-76-0-12501400-1376604972.gif  I went back and corrected my post.  That ought to cause some confusion. ;)

Hi Randy,

I think the Gnomes virus is going around this forum …….

It's airborne !

Take care of your self and I wish you a quick recovery !

Hope your soon up and doing as you please again Randy.

Sounds like maybe the allergies weakened your immune system and let Gnomitis (similar to bronchitis but more commonly caught under a bridge) get a hold. Take your medicine like a good builder and soon you'll be back to 100%.

Hope this isn't an e-virus :o.

That codeine syrup is a miracle worker, nothing seems to work on the chest congestion quite like it and the other effect aren't bad either, it'll help you rest and if your like me its hard to sleep when congested and hurting. Hope your ribs aren't too sore, if this is causing a cough.

Sending you well wishes and Florencia dreams.

I too had a WTF moment when It came to tying the tiny knots. That's been my biggest challenge. Fortunately I tie flies , some of my tools for this have helped tremendously

So how exactly do you catch the flies to tie, Mr Miyagi style with chopsticks or do you lasso 'em and isn't that kinda cruel to the flies. I mean I hate flies myself but I usually just swat them and put them out of their misery. So do you keep them as pets after tieing them?   :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

I say compromise. I don't think it's a bad thing to have anther ship in the works. I bounce between my rattlesnake and the San Fran and had I only one ship I could and probably would have bogged down. So as I see it what's your next ship.
