Beautiful as always Igor! Thanks for the photo with the ship in hand, it really shows how tiny everything is. It makes me appreciate how skilled you are.

Hi Igor

Very nicely done. The cap rail really sets the hull off nicely.

One question though. It must be hard to find the right kind of bottle for your models. When you finally find one, have you ever gotten to a point where you think the glass distorts the view too much and decide that it'd be better not to put it in a bottle at all?

I'm just curious in case I ever decide to do a SIB one day.

Cheers

Patrick

Take three pieces of wood.  Put them together.  Carve them.  Take them apart.  Paint them. Put them together again.  That alone is great but then adding the stanchions and rails. . . Wow!  Now I don’t know what to say.

Hi Patrick,

Yes, I agree. Sometimes such happens. But I try not to allow such situation at a bottle choice stage. Though, of course, it isn't possible to exclude such cases completely. But there is other problem which is more important for me. Sometimes I know as to make this or other element of my model outside of a bottle, but I can't place it in the same look in a bottle.

Sometimes I think that I could do two identical models at the same time - one for a bottle, and another out off a bottle.

But I still never made it ((.

Best Regards!

Igor.

Hi Igor

Thanks. I think you've hit the nail on the donkey right there! I've often thought the same thing. Put it in a bottle and it'll look great...but, at the same time, I like to hold the model in my hand, touch it, feel it and show it to people. If it's in a bottle, of course, that can't be easily done. Oh well can't have it both ways, I guess.

One day, though, I'd still like to give it a go.

Cheers

Hi Lawrence,

Many thanks for words of approval of my work.

I think that ATLANTIC will reach a bottle enough not soon. Yesterday I made the third deck house and started trying to do the anchor winch. Railings too are some problem for me.

Best Regards!

Igor.

Hi Frank, Lawrence, Anton, Nils, Carl, Mike, Carl, Nenad, Dimitris, Patrick, David and all and everything who presses the button Like!

Many thanks for words of approval and support!

As Patrick told (and I agree with him) - Why do we do them? I guess, because if we never tried to do them, we'd be forever wondering if it was possible to make them.

I simply try something to make and sometimes it turns out possible to do. I use the glasses and sometimes the magnifying glass - I will show in the evening of a photo.

Best Regards!

Igor.
