When I tried to put my 18th Century Longboat thru sea trials, the glue dissolved and almost all of the planks popped off the frames ! Nice looking frigate, OC, glad she passed the first phase of her sea trials unscathed.

Beautiful models Javier. Interesting you work in scale 1:160 as that is the same scale for N-scale model railroader as started by Arnold Rapido in Germany in the mid 1960s. Those models would really enhance an N-scale model railroad layout. I had such a layout but it is packed away now. Welcome to MSW.

From what state to what state do you have to move these models ? -
Us Polar Bears don't do well at the Equator! Don't do well confined to a giant walk-in refrigerator either! We prefer to roam free in the great cold outdoors.

Is that Celcius or Fahrenheit? 30 F is delightful 30 C isn't too bad either! Over 35 C is too hot. Right now we're in day 2 of a predicted 7day heat wave, most only last 3 days here, last time it was this bad was 1953. Today we could exceed 99, heat index over 110.

Great looking boat, Mike! Now all we need is ICE ! I like the decals , how did you make them? Pre-printed? Or ?? -
Nice looking boat, John. Bet she's fun to row. Are you taking it on the Thames or the Sound ?

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
