  1. The rudder is fixt! The coppering is a bit shiny😁. But that gets old soon. You can also see one of the scuppers that I added.
  2. Yes it looks pretty strong also...thanks to Caldercraft... they did a very good job with the instructions with this model. Everything seems clear and solid.
  3. Beam fits like a glove...just dryfitted for now. Needs to run parallel with the keel. Looks like it!
  4. opening the hole for the bowsprit, and drilled the hawse holes
  5. Well done sir, so far....looks like a difficult scale to build on! But easier to display somewhere
  6. Something weird in the manual. The hawse holes need to be on different places. As you can see also on the photo's. But if you read the instructions... they have to be drilled on the same height...9mm under the capping rails. But if you look at the pictures...the one on port side looks higher then the one starboard.
  7. Painted and mounted some eyelets and cleats....nice little details.
  8. Finished the windlass and pawl bitts. Just gave everything a second layer of paint. Need some wheatering tho. They are dry fitted at the deck with some pins, but not yet fixt with glue. Don't know exactly, maybe for convenience to work on the deck.
  9. parts of the big windlass...and dryfitting everything on the deck
  10. the little rings need to be painted...so a drink cardboard is a excellent vise
  11. constructing the main hatch...first the frame. In the manual they say that you immediately glue the frame parts on the deck, but I preferred the to construct it of the ship and glueing it later on the deck.
  12. Grating hatches are done 👍 Now it's time for the main hatch. Looking for a way to wheater the hatches...so i'm going to experiment a bit with some paint.
  13. Good tools are half the job, and it works so much more relaxing with them. So it's recommendable!👍
  14. Then I cut the grating with a little saw. And sand them to a exact fit in the framework with a disk sander...
  15. Production process, cut the pieces of timber for the frame of the hatch and glueing them square with a geo triangle
