  1. NO problem, glad to help, the elm pump definitely goes inside the well, mine rubbed the top of the well as it went down and backwards and also cuts in the side of the mast partner very slightly, you have already cut the octaganol holes ready for the tops so they will slant a little more but should still fit, I placed pins down by the keel as per ed's naiad and had no choice where they came out Regards Paul
  2. Looking awesome, nice work on the framing Regards Paul
  3. I think the elm tree pumps angle backwards and inwards slightly as they go downwards to end behind the mast step and inbetween the step and main pumps at the side of the keel The elm pumps aren't shown on the first profile picture you posted, that I can see Hope that helps Regards Paul
  4. Nice job though on the planning hakan Particularly like all the c**p behind in the picture ha!!!!! Regards Paul
  5. Hi B E Just read through your log from the beginning, great work on the model and fabulous rigging Regards Paul
  6. Knees on two of the thwarts fitted one more to go plus counter and stem knees
  7. Todays progress, all thwarts mast ironwork progressing and a coat of 50/50 thinners and Tung oil on all the boxwood interior, love the colour of boxwood and ting oil
  8. Version 2 progress, rear seats and thwart fitted yesterday plus gunwale strip
  9. 26ft launch version 2 coming along Planking and frames mahogany, all interior from boxwood, frames were 3 mm 3 layer mahogany plywood and have taken a lot of cleaning up and still need some more from the photo
  10. I have realised that I am following the boat plans from the aots Diana the wrong way round, the first one I did in the background above will now become a rigged display model, the 24ft launch should be a two masted affair and clinker built planking, so I will have to redo that one and make the 26ft cutter with anchor winch at the back All from mahogany so they match the syrius which will look better in the long run anyway I really envy how all you people show such beautiful clean pictures, that last picture of mine looks awful with all the cr** in the background Regards Paul
  11. So I bit the bullet and thinned them down as far as I could go, added some flooring to strengthen a little bit
  12. Planking finished and frames thinned quite a bit I could/should/can thin them down some more but its rather frightening the planks are so thin, if you hold it up to the light you can see right through, I probably should have done the frames before sending the outside
  13. With much trepidation I got the washstrake on the 24ft cutter, actually went a lot easier than I thought, much cleaning up needed but it certainly makes the boat look more finished
  14. All bulkheads fitted and first planning going on, planks are 0.5x3mm And after a light sanding with 600 grit
  15. Hi Rob Those small ports you have mentioned on the counter i don't think are gunports but are for access to the rudder, I am using the Diana book for my Sirius build as well as I only have the nmm plans to work from and the Diana is a very similar ship/time frame, they wouldn't have been able to get a gun back there, ,look at my transom framing and you can see there wasn't much access, hope that helps Regards Paul
