Tie the sails to the yards, attempt 3.. I didn't like attempt 2. So did everything again for the 3rd and "last" time. Different rope and fewer attachments to the yard. Main and fore sail 2 times round yard as the rest 1 time. The result is a simplified version of the example in the Mary Rose book. working method : Knot on the sail Rope around the yard Knot on the yard (I worked with a series of 5) CA gel ont the (yard) knot. And the rope ends are held down cut off Result, By pushing the rope ends down until the CA gel has cured, hang these neatly towards the deck Some work in progress pictures All ready Thanks for folowing, comments and likes.

So it is true that people who are retired have little free time for themselves 😉 Very nice work on the model and the warehouse.

M29 Weasel family 1/72 (scratch) by Backer Finished
Baker replied to Baker's topic in Non-ship/categorised builds
Bogie time 😉 I have to make 40 of them 😱 The wheel press tool Dry test fit on the orignal resin model The 4 weasels with the extra float tanks will have side skirts. The running gear will therefore be little visible later on. So I do these 4 first to practice. 1 side done (will probably need some extra details) A cannon, almost finished Thanks for following

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
