Alttached is the actual package at Ace Hardware. If you want one and can't find it at your local Ace I'd be glade to purchase it for you (while supplies last). Cost is about $17 +- plus tax. I'll ship at the lowest cost I can find (usually book rate if I can convince them it's a book). I have absolutely no profit motive but no returns accepted...Moab

Swiss escapement file set on sale....
Moab replied to CPDDET's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
You can’t go wrong with Vallorbe files. Pricey but great. I’m not sure about this but a 4 cut is very fine. I bought a similar set and they were actually too fine for my needs. Good for jewelry work but not for mine. I ended up with 00 cut which worked great... too coarse for for some work but not mine...Moab -

Attached are a few pictures of this mini led light I found at ACE (two pack for about $25.). Each has two light levels and measures about 4" x 3" x 1". I use one for a mini sanding dust hood I made. They are small and very portable. I move them around as needed...Moab

I've known about the difference in speed from inboard to outboard and that may solve a few problems. But for my needs it still doesn't handle most of the issues that a variable speed sander would. Don't get me wrong....I own the Byrnes sander and I love it. His tools are by FAR the best...Moab

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
