Could you download the BBC iplayer app, you will probably have to register with it. It should be available in the US Connect your Android device to your Wi-Fi network or the mobile hotspot you created. Go to your Google Play app. Download and install the BBC iPlayer app. Open the BBC iPlayer app and insert your login credentials.

You could rebuild them with any 1×5mm strips and either paint or stain them to match the sapele ones. Alternatively use the narrower ladders in positions where they'll barely be seen😇

The paint has been applied, 2 coats of matt white, followed by 1 coat of gloss white. I know it perhaps should have stayed matt, but I quite like the sheen as it's not hi-gloss, more of a satin finish So next time it on to the benches and fittings. Thanks for having a look. Cheers

Well, four days and the planking is finished I have still got to seal it prior to painting The keel, stem and stern pieces are fitted a touch of sanding and sealant and it's ready for some paint! Thanks for looking in. Cheers

I've been plugging away bit by bit and slowly but surely moving ever forward to closing the hull in the last plank to fit on the port side! And done! Just one more band of planking left on the starboard, then some serious sanding action and I can put the second layer of the Wales on. Thanks for the likes and comments or just looking in. Cheers

Hello again, the deck boarding and the bulwarks have been done. So then it was a case of getting the sandpaper out and fairing the hull, which after Winchelsea, was very short job! And then the planking starts. The instructions give measurements for the overlap, making it a bit easier keep the lap regular. This is will take a while as I'm using wood glue and doing a bit on Winnie as well. Thank you for visiting, until next time. Cheers

Welcome Phil and Jack. The framework has be glued together, and the internal planking on the bulwarks fitted The quality of the wood strips and other parts is imo good, the instructions on the other hand are a little sparse to say the least. Also my kit came with them on a DVD! I don't have have a computer with DVD drive or a DVD player. In the end I downloaded them from Artesanias website, thanks to Jack12477 for telling me about that! anyhow, next up is the decking boards. Thanks for calling by. Cheers

Hello there, I received this as a birthday gift and was going to kit bash it into an English east coast (Norfolk) lifeboat (Henry Ramey Upcher) but after a long think about it have decided to use the basic pattern for the lifeboat as a scratchbuild, therefore I can build this as is, also it will be practice for clinker planking, which I've never done before. (Well not intentionally) More to follow. Cheers

Ahh yes, I didn't make it clear, Hobbymill EU (I believe he has Chuck's permission to do this) only does the wood strips in a package for Winchelsea, and that getting laser cut chapter parts from Syren (Chuck) may be the less expensive option. Sorry for any confusion.

If you can cut your own bulkheads and keel former, there is a vendor in Estonia (Hobbymill EU) who does a timber package for Winchelsea, then just purchase the laser cut chapters as and when you require them. If the cost is not too much the customs and vat are pretty low on smaller less weighty parcels.

A belated merry Christmas to all, and looking forward to a better happy new year! Thanks Ben, mine will be about the same when done. Still plodding on with the planking, but now only 3 bands to complete. I found working from the keel a pleasant change. working with wood glue is much less messy than CA but slower I reckon I've another month or so before I'm finished planking. The piece missing from the keel has been knocked off when I moved Winnie and I decided to leave it off till I flip her right side up. Thanks for watching and the likes, Cheers
