I also had problems getting on the forum 4 or 5 weeks back, that was in the early hours of the day, so it seems it's not confined to the US, but as EG said after a couple of hours everything is fine.

Works for me every time.
Chuck
This I did as I was always told if it don't work, switch it off and then switch it back on.

I'm away for 5 minutes and you go and finish, turned out rather nice as well if a bit odd looking. Great job Denis.
Edit: reminds me slightly of the tri-engine junkers with the prominent ribbing

You've done yourself proud with those quarter badges, they look much, much better than the supplied castings.
Just a thought, but would it be possible to etch the roof tile pattern onto the wood rather than make them as a separate piece or maybe use a modelling putty for them and also the other details?

Keep the faith EG she looks alright!
She will look like lightning when "plated"😁

I had the exact same issues here and tweaked the frames to fit the plan then remade the top fillers, I just need to sand the pieces to fit.

Very nice Tiger Mark, I really like the minimalist look it's got going on😄

Read them twice. Read Dudley Pope about Ramage, too. Authors Stockwin, Lambdin and Bond. Engrossing books.
But this log is about a vignette "somewhere in England" and a night-flying Mossie squadron. 👍
Yes yes yes, good authors all.
And yes meanwhile on a sweltering summer afternoon in leafy SE England nothing is stirring??🍿🍿

Don't be too hard on yourself OC, I think looks fantastic, very royal navy, wouldn't look out of place on HMS Illustrious.
Edit: further research suggests that mk3 were on Hms Victorious and mk2 were on Illustrious

Or I could build a backyard pond, waterproof the hull, and float her out there. But then winter ice would be a problem.
A room of her own with a pond! Won't freeze over in winter🤪

Finished dimensions are
Length 40 3/4 inches or 1035 mm
Width 6 1/32 inches or 153 mm
Height 27 15/16 or 710 mm
The odd values are because the original measurements are given in metric
7 inches shy of 4ft, I think you need to find her a room of her own!😏 I thought Winchelsea was big at 38 inches and she's not going to be rigged.

I've been reading some novels of the Peninsular War of the early 1800s. Wellington versus Napoleon's marshals.
One of my favourite periods, if you haven't already read them I can recommend Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe series and C.S Forester's Death to the French and The Gun
EG even subconsciously through novels I still struggle, I'm great with pointless info but for anything else I have to have in front of me
