  1. Christian, It sounds interesting ... should polish up my French ... haven't read a book in it for ages, and my naval, and carpenter knowledge isn't up to scratch either (in French that is)
  2. Than ... I've got a DIY possibility ... or 2 That is, after you've got that proxxon back ... Cheers
  3. Piet, You could try, what is called here a 'hanging drill'. Should fit your hand, and is easy on your piece to maneuver, stands on your workbench. Juwelers use it a lot ...
  4. Congratulations, Ed. A milestone reached in time it seems. It certainly looks very, very tempting ... Cheers
  5. Mick, You could use the stern after it is finished for the 'lovely bum' thumbnail ... Besides, it sounds better than Mick " moon face" yamsterman ... Davy Jones' locker will fill up rather quickly this way, mate ... I wonder whether DJ knows his way around a tablet ... he'll go digital ... whatch out RN Cheers
  6. Mick, If you tackle the transomes like you did the 'spine', you'll end up with a lovely 'bum' to look at ... cannot wait to see the result ... Cheers mate
  7. Piet, You do not merely try ... so far you succeeded rather well (putting it mildly...), as most will agree with me!
  8. Hmmm, did you sleep at all. That's quite some work you've done. She looks very impressive
  9. If those few items are the tools of your current trade, than, you are doing an awesome job, Piet.
  10. I recon it will be stale when I get there mate, but it's the thought that counts, so I highly appreciate the offer ... I'm sorry to miss it, first a lovely steak, followed by cake ... yummie - I'll keep it mind though
  11. That's a clear show of building a small boat Igor. Yours? If so well done, else for the other person my compliments
  12. Piet, Nice going. To me it seems very good. I found some who did the blocks himself (Polish bloke) if you want to have a look, this is the link http://www.koga.net.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=26364&start=180#p37159 to the post
  13. Nice build ... the admiral's I presume ... how long to finish, or already finished ... ???
  14. Ken, So far very impressive. I read somewhere builders reinforce the joins by adding paper behind it, if they're afraid the 'lip' is to small. ... i found this in my howto's for the interested paperbuild.howto..pdf
  15. I'll be visiting your log more frequent to avoid mistakes I already made ... Now this rally really was a challenge
  16. Happy birthday from a rainy Empe Dennis. Hope you have a swell day. Give my congratulations to your Admiral for having you reach this age ;-)
  17. You are going to needsome thicker wood, Jason ... or live with the straight sternpost, which - knowing you - won't do ...
