  1. Patrick, Those last to are manipulated ... they are to good to be true ...!!! Grand build Igor!!! That such a small ship can look so great!!!
  2. This is easy ... count me in. Should turn out marvelous as you have been practising ...
  3. Nace (according to Sam) save on the paint job Pops. You should have known about the numbering ... always something tricky dicky when you least expect it. Lucky we're at MSW, there's bound to be someone whom shows up with a solution ...
  4. Mobbsie, Didn't know you listened to yourself Looking forward to those fragile wedding bands mate
  5. I hope you do Cristiano, I shal most certainly follow your new log!!!
  6. Well done my friend, you have created something wonderfull ... something to be really proud of ... congratulations!!!
  7. Grant, Looks great, but you've got some running to do before you get close to Mobbsie......
  8. Mobbsie, (Thanks!) Rather nice your progress, though you'll need a weightlifter to get those planks with those rings off ...
  9. Bob, That first set is increadible, the second ... I wouldn't be able to do that either ... I have to admit that the finess and sharpness does diminish when age increases ... however, isn't it the joy and pleasure we find in building models which are the motivation to do so. To strive to do as best we can... I've seen my father drawing all his life, even in his last lucid moments, untill his death last Sunday morning ... he continued drawing because he loved to do it, even if that sharpness faded ...
  10. I would have expected three parts .. considering the stern and bow shapes, two would still leave you in a difficult postion, as far as I can see ... though, sometimes I'm blind to solutions
  11. Fam, You are doing very well, both in model ship building as in English!! Sorry to hear you have to do without for such long periods. Take care!!
  12. Jay, Wonderful work, not to say craftmanship. She really looks superb ... but what else could you expect from a born and bred 'Rotterdammer' ...
  13. Fam, it's a joke refering to the pins you used to get those strings for your planking running properly from stern to bow. Would have made it in Italian if I could speak/write it. Unfortunately I can't
  14. Impressive Fam, I like the way the first layer of planks isn't in line with second. Will make it even more sturdy. Another interesting way to use your sewing basket ...
  15. Very nice Cristiano. I'm curious as how she will show off on her stand ...
  16. Well done Cristiano. It seems you tackle this difficult part of the model with ease!
  17. Patrick, Marvelous work again, can't wait to see the next part of your build!
  18. You're welcome. You might not be able to draw the letters, though, you could use a painting technique witch is called 'pointilisme' in French. I've done it with those earlier mentioned pens too. You form the letters as a dot-matrix pinter does ... one dot after anothet ... lucky your boat isn't that big
  19. Well then ... do not dally any longer!!! Get the show on the road ... Let's burn some rubb wood
  20. Igor, SInce you are talking pens ... rOtring pens ... go down to 0.1 or 0.15 mm those might do the trick ... have a look here http://www.rotring.com/en/93-technical-calligraphy-pens/93-calligraphy-pens-technical
  21. Sam, Definitely some misalignment on that capstan ... It will not turn properly, that's for certain ... those poor Jacks will be bracking their backs ... Could you point out where exactly that faillure in your prowess is, please ... Ah, you thought that what had been put off won't be needing attention ... mistake ... big ... no hughe ... work always gets in the way of leisure relaxation
  22. Glad I know the scale for you're doin' some darn good detailed work, Patrick!! The fruits of your labour are well appreciated here mate!!!
