That's a shame Wally I bought Pear, Cherry, Pau Amarillo, Castello Boxwood and Ebony could have been a few years back now, wonder why they stopped selling it 🤔. So glad I bought when I did, I do hope you find some. Regards Richard

Check to see if you have put the spacers which go either side of blade the right way Regards Richard -
Thanks Robin, do like to ask questions/opinions if information is not available or not being able to find on the web/books, I don't know to much on the Bluenose and it is nice to get feedback 👍 Thank you Schooners, to answer your question I use a Sherline 4" Rotary Table combined with the Sherline Tilting Angle plate, the handle comes with 0 to 50, 50 is 5 deg so you can work out deg, minutes, and seconds I also bought a few Harvey Tool cutters ranging in sizes, some with radius and some with ball, great tool bits Have made quite a few things with these tools like brackets for 1:24 Hurricane legs Regards Richard

Thanks Jeff glad I spent the time upgrading it has made that area pop out 👍 Jenson book does not have section views on the chain hawser which is a pity because he did the wood hawser, the picture does not clearly show 4 I am assuming, but went and added the other four and to me it looks better Hi Ja see above have added the other four used .010" thick brass so that would have been just over 5/8" thick bar Thanks you kindly Michael did use the kit wood which is either Basswood or Limewood (European Basswood) 1/16" thick x 3/32" Thanks very much for your comments and all the likes Regards Richard

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
