Update all braces are now on, sheets ad tacks of the main courses, the starboard anchor rigging, additional coilings to belaying points, and a correction to the ensign staff line (hoistline shifted to leeward side of the spanker sail on deck), with thanks to Druxey and Crackers for their kind comments.....   6. Wonderful Picture Crackers, thanks for sharing....., well, the way of flying the ensign is exactly as I have done it, from te peak to a point on deck, or ? I understood that Druxey meant the drive boom would possibly nock it away, when changing wind sides Nils
  7. Thanks Druxey, do you mean that the footpoint of the ensign hoist line should be moved near to the end of the Driver boom ? (I borrowed this pic from the web) Nils

  9. Build log part 92 Update all 3 yards and sails of the main mast are now braced to appr. 45° for the main course the sheets and tack-lines are also put on. The mizzen sails are already permanently set to the wind Nils view from weather side view from leeward side. Main course sheet and tack-line attached to sail sheet block

  11. Very nice build Fam, the coppering is beautiful and neatly done, also you second planking with the pencilline Patterns for the sheating Looks very accurate Nils

  13. Beautiful work Ed, the belaying crossbanks around the mast, the horizontal cutting with the sharpened bit of sawblade, and the brass machining, all superbe ! Nils
  14. Hi Crackers, thanks for your comment, the white ensign I`m using is the Naval one from 1707 - 1800 without the thinner diagonal red cross in the top left quadrant of the flag. The Red ensign you are refering to is the one from 1800 - present for civilian ships (with the thinner diagonal red cross in the top left quadrant of the flag). Nils
  15. Build log part 91 Status to date.... it`s not far to go any more.... BTW, I`ve mentioned it before in a previous post that There is a double made, (not needed anymore) self sewn spanker sail and a whte ensign flag, self printed on cotton, for 1:64 scale Swan Class (Fly, Pegasus, etc...). I give them away for free, whoever can make use of them pls. send me a PM. Pics are enclosed Here some pics on the current status... NIls White Ensign size : 8,7 x 4,8 cm
