  1. I said i Will Still slowly upgrade some aspects that was done hastily when having tíme. Started to work on New skylights ...top IS not not finished yet.
  2. Wow i missed couple updates. Rob fantastic clean detail work on topgalant standing rigging and sheet chain. That chain must be shockingly small. And that halliard block wow. Amazing stuff ! I see you have fun yourself. Enjoy. Its like read and check fór me with book v.
  3. Thanks Rob. Yes I already see that. there is plenty to carefully exclude from consideration and i see cutt sark iron masting practice clearly. actually its more about steel ones though... Not everything is of my interest but principal function of each aspect of every rope functioning is fantastically described. and for that it is to be donsidered which part of it to use for the model being it with sails or without. buntlines clew etc... not everything has to be projected depends on how messy model can be. I havent decided how far to go with that as i havent decided on sails yet etc....good read indeed.
  4. Exactly. Im mightily strengthened by today arrived book from Mr. Underhill. IT was probably best single step i Made towards getting balls ahead.
  5. Game IS on. Ropes tight, Nice. Looking forward to continuation by the way i Now realised we trated top samé way bottom white top natural. I realised that only now what coincidence.
  6. Hi Folks,I have a small update on upper deck. Decided to go as described from both sides. IT was real challenge to me. Thanks v.
  7. Steve, beautiful work. As I observe it closely I particularly like how you treated figurehead and stern ornamentals with little more toned down shade - exactly same shade what I need for my winnie. would you mind sharing your "recipe" for how you painted them? are they wood or resin? Thank you in advance Vlad
  8. Im reading thru beautiful book from McKay descendant D McKay and his famous sailing ships, and im astouned how often were royal topgalant and even topsail masts struck down by heavy gale. even mainmast sprung ! flying cloud 3 times thru one capehorn ride. With sails furled and fastened i cant quite imagine powers of nature that were hunting these boats. must have been total havoc.
  9. Wonderful model Piotrek. Madterpiece to every small detail. congratulations. wow.
  10. Beautiful work Ken, congratulation. i like including sails to it. superb.
  11. Indeed Rich, i knew that. I take it against myself.i took easier route in order rather to produce fine dircle. in 1:24 cutty sark I soldered nice S ones. far bigger though not to worry as i know myself i will probably be returing to it :)))
  12. much appreciated Rich. I was taking extra care measuring and eyeing constantly upon sanding off. There is hell of a work behind model, many univolved people seeing finished boat never imagine.:) thanks a lot. V.
  13. Last chapter yards are done i consider fpotropes rigging so i Will make IT when rigging. Now glory gets Few months of rest while i Will scout assemblings blocks, ropes...for final chapter. If not till end of summer -autumn. Ouch. Thank very much everyone for watching support likes comments. etc...ill tune in when back. Watching Robs meanwhile. Its Better i dont know what IS IT rigging clipper - otherwise i would stop Few photos from yardmaking. I intend no more going thru this hell. I Guess this Will be my last clipper build. Will downgrade with age :)) and finish with canoe :)) im not yet settled on nasting colors. as i cannot paint lower masts i can only varhish those. i play with idea to paint tops black or white to give nice constrast probably from mast collars up.... - from tops up all varnished ... doublings balck. yards black. bowsprit black booms varnished. . so maybe i will post one update more.
