Looks great! You did a great job with the weathering. Good choices in color made for a realistic looking boat.

Sounds like a good fix. And it looks much Improved. One more observation looking at that last photo is that it appears the forward gallis frame is slightly aft of where it should be. It might just be an optical illusion but it looks like the spacing is a bit narrower between that and the next frame than the other frames. In the drawing they appear equally spaced.

First of all, great work! First rate. I’m curious where that picture of CWM was taken. Clearly not in Mystic. I’m also wondering how you avoid the lower shrouds interfering with the gallis frames. I searched my own pictures to see if I could find a good side view. This one is from a couple years ago. Not really clarifying but it is a beautiful view of CWM and I thought I would share it anyway.

I just purchased the Mamoli 1:93 version of the Constitution. Historical accuracy is not as important to me as a fine looking ship when I’m done but... I wonder if you could suggest some improvements or modifications as I build her that might improve the accuracy of the model. I’m sure there are many but some that might stand out or fix glaring errors would be appreciated. I’m not afraid of manufacturing my own parts if necessary. -
In the meantime... @lowsodiumsailor, where are you with the build? Any progress?

Beautifully done! And the leftover confetti from your “finally done with copper plates” celebration is appropriate.😀

Just catching up with your build. Fantastic look on your deck! Quite the showpiece. I’m sure your coppering will equally grand when you get the hang of it.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
