Two lids down, 10 to go. I got the parts together, had to blackin some, decided to blackin a few eyehooks for later. The smallest eyebolts will be for the gunport lids . The plan was to go sideways for the this lid, but I didn't like it, so I turned it. I think it looks the lesser of two evils lol. That was the starboard side, port side was a different story, lol Although it is mounted sideways, there was no moving the cannon so I left it open. I will add the little eyehooks and ropes later. I will make all the lids , but won't put them on till later in the build. ,this all has to dry, at least 4 hrs while the Banjo Bowl Game is on , lol. Five bucks says she off before I finish all the rest of the lids. lol. Later my friend's Bob M.

Today more supplies arrived, a small tariff was applied what can you do. I needed eye hooks and ordered lots, and from different stores as well, in total, 416 eyehooks, now I can ride out any traiff . Rope, yes four more roles of black thread, I have no idea were all my thread goes lol. Rodney's Astrolabe took it all. Now that I have replaced my stock of thread, time to turn my attention to the gun port lids. Kit comes with 8 lids, enough photo etch to make 12 lids, my plan calls for 12, some open, some shut , two sideways lol. Can you belive all this fun. T hanks to @Blue Ensign and @Moonbug for posting your logs, all my idea come from looking at those two logs, everything you need to know about the Pegasus is in there just go to find it lol. The lids will take time to make, I have to come up with four sets of hinges and two sets of hinges that are for the sideways lid., but I have it all in Rodney's stach of trinkets. Many thanks for popping in , much appreciated the advice and likes. .News at 11 as they say. Knocklouder 😁

The masts are set, ready for shrouds. The Bowsprit mast is not glued, in fact it is in storage lol. For safe keeping. I only put it on for pictures lol. The plan showed a Mizzen belaying rack, I Went with cleats. @Blue Ensign idea, @Moonbug log I was not able to get a good look at what he did. So I looked at B.E . Log and got the idea for it. The plan Mizzen belaying rack made no scene to me, sideways pins. Oh well thanks to the logs here on MSW, I was able to move forward. Thanks for posting. I tied on the Mizzen lower shrouds, the jig works OK, they look even. Four on the port side upper deadeyes are upside down but only we will notice lol. I do let a lot slide, Of course that will not be the display side Moving on to the main mast lower shrouds. Grandsons birthday party is today so all work has come to an end, but tomorrow is always another day. Thanks again for everyone's help, I know I couldn't have done this with out your help, so happy to be a part of this hobby. Bob M. Main lower shrouds next. !!

I have two fiddle blocks and 3 singles left on the foremast, then the blocking is done.. A couple of jigs were made for the deadeyes , an upper and a lower, the lower is spaced at 15 mm and the upper is spaced at 12 mm one of the first things I did was put the Bowsprit mast away for save keeping, rembering how many times I broke the Bowsprit mast on my Dutchess of Kingston . I am attempting to add chains to my capstan, I read somewhere, (words I seldom say lol), about these pins that hold the poles on when turning, I used an eye hook for the center and a pin nail for the outer. Three links of chain was added to connect the two. Not sure if I will go with this idea, might just fill the holes and paint it if I don't like it.. That will be decided latter in the build. I served 20 feet of line to 1mm - 1.1 mm for the lower shrouds on the foremast and main mast, this wont be enough to finish, but it is a good start.. The Mizzen mast is rigged at .75 mm, Also a few stays are .75mm as well so I will serve up some 75mm latter today Last night I started cranking the sevring machine and said this will take for me forever , so I hooked up my cordless drill and in 90 minutes i had 20 feet of 1.o mm line ready for shrouds. After it was served I soaked it in Mog pog , then hung to dry. so with that, I am going to set up the serving machine and make some more Lines, .75mm and some 1.3 mm, after I figure out how much of each I will need. I never serv anything smaller than .75 mm , in my opinion serving .50 mm line is to much time spent on something you cant really tell you did. I can tell you adding the drill to the sever was a good idea, lol I only hope it does not fly apart using the drill lol. A lot of time severing lines and tieing shrouds are on the horizon, a most enjoyable task. It gets even better @Moonbug has told me that there is 874 clove hitches to tie, I hope that is for one side lol. I love ratlines. Well that's my story so far, we have lots of outside interferences so progress will slow for a couple of weeks, winter is coming so I be able to go full time soon . 😀 Thanks for looking in on my Pegasus build, off to do some speed serving lol. Thank you so much, With all the masts painted it was time to put some blocks on. Just on the Bowsprit mast there is single blocks, double blocks, heart blocks , fiddle blocks and deadeyes. I hope I got them all. Five more blocks for the foremast, then I must go do some serving . Lots of serving lol. Looking forward to adding the shrouds. This is a great ship to put together, I am just so excited about building it, for what ever the reason. Talk soon my friend's. Bob M

Great work my freind, I know the feeling of making a beautiful little part of a ship to just cover it up, and you got to look sideways up close to see it. Does this mean your finished this, and may be working on that ship I noticed in the background several times lol. Fantastic work, . Bob M.

Kurt says we should stow the ships boat until much later in the build , I got all the masts back from the paint shop, time to drill some holes, add some blocks and send her back to the paint shop for thouch ups. So on to the drill the holes for the Bowsprit mast. Close to 30 blocks just for the Bowsprit and the foremast, wow. Then I will do the wooldlings shrouds and dare I say the R word. Lol 😆 Thanks for popping in for a look. The greatest hobby of all time. Bob M.

Another mistake , but a good one lol. I am mistaken about the number of spare masts and ships boat there were. Only one boat and two spare masts. A lot of sanding and shapping but soon they were ready for the paint shop so I can add the black. After they are painted it's time to add the blocks and woolding, lots of work ahead. Kurt says , yes one boat is enough , we can add a fire boom and spare upper mast if we want later. Coming together nicely, I will be serving lines and tieing ratlines in no time. . Swivel guns, four in the tin, 12 left on the ship lol. 😆 🤣. Off to the paint shop, 🎨.. Knocklouder 😁 Kurt ⚒️
