Goober said he left all the served lines in the box, we looked at the plans all the way to page 13. Looked for every .5 mm line=F, figured out what we needed and served it all, today. We should have enough lines , but it's real eazy to serve up a few feet of which ever size we need. Then , yes I started the ratlines, rusty but it'll do . Meet Runner the boys hired him , and soon had him running lol. Adjusting ratlines on the foremast then run up the Mizzen mast to see if we can do anything with the shroud. on his way down Pile yelled stop. Right there, this is were Runner will end up when we are finished. It is to hide my first attempt at Futtock shrouds. Lol. Its a blob , but it will be hidden by Runner . Thank you everyone for the likes, with mates like you guys we can't go wrong. Thank you all. 😊. Ok my freinds, Merry Christmas. I have to get to my ratlines. I will do up to the platforms then run the lines for the topgallant. Then finish the rest of the ratlines. My only joy is that there is a whole lot of ratlines on the Pegasus. . I still can't believe how much fun modeling is. I definitely am in my happy place today. Knocklouder & Crew !! .

@Keith Black The Truth is still out there!!! I think everyone from the Captain to the helmsman on both ships are screaming "Hard To Port, Hard To Port". Glen, she is perfect. The ships are going the same way as the water and the whirlpool. Again my friend, you have outdone yourself, Dang, you're good. Now that you have mastered putting more than one ship in a bottle, you can only top this with a famous battle of multiple ships. I don't remember details, but Keith Black had mentioned it to me in passing. Lol Sorry buddy, I started Ratlines today and I might be light headed from it. Lol. Bob . M . PILE Goober is not here but says "Merry Christmas GLEN."

Way to go my friend, Pile and I were behind you all the way, Goober had his doubts but he's new .lol. That is so well done. I know it hard enough to put one ship in the bottle, let alone two. About the ratlines, I just stared mine on the Duchess, I am good lol. Great job with this one , it really is fantastic. Bob M. Pile.

Rigging of the upper shrouds are completed and I think it's my best work. I really like it. The served lines look great. The whole ship is awesome lol. Pile is very happy with the progress, most of the deadeyes are lined up, I left a few uneven just for authenticity. lol. So now I have to make some lines for the topgallant shrouds and some stays. I have to add the Futtock bars for the upper gallants and paint them and I will be good to go after the lines are made. Lots to do in and out of the shipyard. But loving it all. Thanks for the support from MSW , and members how help me along, I have a ways to go on neatness, but starting to understand how things work. Now if I could just learn how to use my computer and articulate better 🙃 lol. The crew wants some time off for Christmas so I said sure. Goober flew home today, Pile is staying with me as he has only us now. But he is a very greatful shipmate, and really happy to be part of the crew. Ratlines I am so excited 😊 lol. Pile says I am nuts lol, I have to agree. Have a great holiday my friends, stay safe. Bob M PFCGP Goober

All the Futtock shrouds are finished, and the upper shrouds are run. I forgot about the stays, so I need about 30 inchs, that still leaves about 18 inch left of the .75mm served line. Pile was concerned about the size of the upper shrouds line. A trick I was told a few years ago on how to find out how big your line is. Wrap the line around a dowel 10 times, divide by 10 that's your size. Pile says this line is .78 mm. Goober says who will be able to tell go for it. Lol. So I figured out what I needed, draw up a little plan and away we went. Got as far as only 12 shrouds left the rig. Seizing takes a lot of time, today I seized 8 Futtock shrouds, then put the upper shrouds on and rigged four lanyards , that was a whole lot of shaking lol. But I find the shaking help with moving the Seizing up and down until it's in the right place. Lol. After I rig the rest of the upper shrouds and deadeyes, I will take a break and go make 5 feet of .5 mm line for the top masts and some stays are .5 mm as well. Then on to the ratlines, I will be in heaven lol. But that's all I can do today, thanks for looking in. Bob M. PFCGP Goober 😀

The Futtock shrouds are finished, just have to install 8 on the starboard side. I thought I would run through my process for the Futtock shrouds. First I have all my threads ready , and put a hook in the thrid hand Some members can thread these hooks with out using CA to stiffen the end of the line. I can't, once in a blue moon one will go through lol. And I fined once the thread start to unravel its a no go. So to save myself trouble, I just add a small drop at the end thread it through and clamp it with forcepts , then two seized lines to it. Soon they were all done, now just have to tie the last 8 on. This is my first attempt at replacing the feather , it looks not bad at normal veiwing distance , up close its a maybe lol. I might leave it white , although gold might hide it a bit. We will see. The crew is getting excited, just the upper shrouds and then dare I say it RATLINES. I have enough .75mm served line , close to four feet left but I can use it on the Pegasus. but I need to make some more .5 mm. This I will do after all the shrouds and lanyards are finished. Then all the stays. That's all for today. The crew wants to keep going till we are finished but tomorrow is another day. Lol. Bob M. PFCGP Goober

Knee deep into the rigging I go. The Mizzen mast went fairly well. I didn't install the Catharpins correctly on the Mizzen but , how does that saying go, you got to make one to know how. The Foremast catharpins are rigged right. The best part is I am actually rigging it according to the plan. The way I tie it and use way less CA I see progress in my builds. They still are a lot of fun to build. Goober wants to take it for a little trip, but Pile says NO WAY rember how sick we got the last time we did that. Let's just get back to seizeing Shell we. Lol. The grandson made this Daintie sever for his grandmother and ask if I could finish it for him. Sure we can let use Tung oil on it , I am told that the best beside Lacquer which stinks lol. He told me he makes the bottom then use a 3D printer to etch the bottom then he made the sides. Not bad for the little fellow, just turn 16. I tryed getting him interested in models but he is hooked on his games lol. Thanks so much for peeking in, and for all who made A Duchess log, I would be really lost with out them. Thank you. I peeked at sheet 12 of the plan stays and yards just try. Lol. It does say ,stays and yards Jeers/Tyes . The crowsfeet rigging looks scary. So I went back to sheet 11, there is still lots to do on this page, no scenes worrying about that just yet. Talk soon my freinds, thanks to all of MSW. Bob M. PFCGP Goober

I started rigging the Futtock shrouds, and was looking at a few logs and said I hope I left enough line. So I double checked and I think I am ok. I decided to do a few clove hitches. It seems everyone is doing ratlines. I could not resist. Lol plus my Good Freind @Gabek gave me these figures I had to play lol. Shakey on the ratlines but was that fun .lol Pile put it all away and get back to it. The inspectors said knot bad 14 out of 15. I just love ratlines, they are a lot of fun trust me. . Just do them like the plan says you be fine. I like mine lol. Darn spoke to soon , grandkids are here. I got to go , no idea when I will get back they are on vacation lol . But just look at Gabes sailor fantastic. Can't wait to get back. Thanks everyone. MSW. Bob M.

We got the lower shrouds finished, now I have to clean up all the holes for the upper deadeyes. These served lines are great I think. Once it's all done it will look good . Futtock staves, one hook PE 94 seized twice. And leave them two inch long thread with .75 black thread. Made the first of 20, when that's finished we will attach the staves then the upper deadeyes and shrouds. Sound eazy enough lol. But that's a lot of rigging, and the season is upon us so progress will be slow I guess but very happy with what I am doing. Thanks MSW, and members , also thanks for all who looked. And thanks for all who made a Duchess of Kingston log , been looking at them all . Taken ideas from all of them. They are all great. That's it for now. Bob M PFCGP Goober
