  1. Thanks Adam and Frank, I love pics to Adam. How more, how better @ Frank, If I try to cross the sea for going to Mobbsie with that, I go straight to the bottom She is big , but to hold two adults? That's to much I believe…...
  2. @ Mick, @ Sam, Thanks. @ John, What else can I do with all the time that I have at the moment. I'm working only 4 hours a day ( last week and then to the 75 % ,6 hours ) for two weeks . And going into the city because there is a festival ? no thanks…to many people !!!!! We have a spare bedroom that we are using. Still a lot of space left. Maybe next year we will renovated the whole room into a decent workshop. Now we have to tables where we are working on. @ Adeline, I'm still not a master of the ratlines…. I have to learn not to tight them to hard…. It can be some looser ( those ropes ) And yes , you read it well, at the main mast and mizzen mast there is another part with ratlines….. And no worries about the hight of the seiling. The room is almost 3 meters high... Plenty of space left !
  3. Thanks everyone ! @ Augie, You don't want to see me standing now if I want to take a picture. The only problem is….it's beige rope and that against a white wall isn't work that good. So I have to see if we have a dark colour sheet to put behind it. @ Grant, Arrive yesterday at home and all ready on MSW ? It looks like a addiction And no worries about the San Ildefonso. I almost like it that tying knots for the ratlines. And you know what they say….experience make it easy…... @ Wayne, Thank you for those few words @ Adriaan, The same counts for you ! @ Robbyn, Yes, progress is great. You see her growing….and not only figural ! I have to stand up when I work at the top…. @ Ferit, Thanks for the check up if I forget a few ratlines I know that I have different number of shrouds. But that is what the drawing is telling me…. And I have to follow that. @ Mick, I'm still not done with the ratlines. I have to go one level up. And then of course the shrouds and ratlines on the bowsprit. And yes, there are a few miles of running rigging to do. But when I finish those ratlines on the masts, I go to make the spars first. And then…..running rigging.
  4. Because some people are that impatient , here is the update…... The ratlines on the second part of the mast at the port side are done…... Now I can go on to the starboard side……. And of course……….pictures
  5. Thanks Aldo, After this post a update again Still a few ratlines to go !
  6. Morning Mobbsie, That looks great. So now you can see where a little brainstorm can lead you I'm glad it works and I'm gonna use it also with the next builds ! Good luck with the long boats and talk to you tonight
  7. Hi Frederica, Very nice. Are you planking that deck and there is an others deck coming on top of it? Or you don't see that lower deck anymore ?
  8. It's good Mark, Sometime I wish I can ignore the rest of the conversation Take your time …..
  9. Thanks Andy for the little tutorial about the futtock stave ! You make it look very easy….and maybe it is That's for the next build !
  10. JP, The only thing I can say and maybe it helps, when you at a part of the build, check all the drawings if it goes that way. See if you need to drill holes in it ( cross trees for example ) and more of that funny stuff. There is one thing that you learn……check everything and look forward !
  11. Mobbsie, Don't forget that you are a foot passenger when you are coming So leave your step ladder at home. You need it your self when you at the rigging of the Aggy. I know I give her another name then Mirage….. And yes, she a learning ship. I hope I can avoid the mistakes with the other two that is coming.
  12. Randy, Do just the same as Anja when she want the I Mac…. She goes to the Appel store and tell the guy…I want that I Mac !!!!! 2 seconds later she was poor and walk away with a huge box ( I can carrie it for her )
  13. Morning Augie, That fits perfect ! A lot of fairing that you have done. Soon at the planking ?????
  14. Yippie, Popeye is on the shrouds and soon at the ratlines ! Nice work my friend and welcome to the rigging company
  15. Thanks John but no thanks John Thanks Mick, Grant is a globetrotter…..
  16. And there is another Captain ! Congrats Randy ! They have really make a bigger table….. I'm feeling lonely
  17. You are right Popeye……. And thank you ! How is the camera and microphone doing for Skype ?
  18. Hi Jp, I will follow you closely on this one. I build the Le Mirage from Corel and I find the drawings terrible ! I have only two sheets with the overall picture and one manual The manual only saying, do this on that. And that's it ! I've made a few mistakes because it was not clear what goes where. My plans are dating 1975…... Maybe you have newer plans I don't want you to feel miserable so please, start with it and enjoy your self ! Have a good and smooth time with the victory !
  19. Thank you guys…... The mizzen mast has almost her ratlines…... About 5 to go. And then the main mast, fore mast. And then on the main- and foremast there are another level. And that's the tricky one. I have drill holes into the cross trees but there is no place to tight them on the lower ratlines…... There are almost lying at the mast…... We shall see how we are gonna doing that. @ Patrick, If I listen to you, I don't think that I'm gonna buy Fort Knox…. To dangerous !!!!! @ Ferit, I'm far away from the finish line…. I have to make all the spars and the running rigging and then the bowsprit... @ Augie, My house is big enough for 10 more of those small vessels…. Mobbsie is putting the Aggy on the loft….in a plastic bag I have room enough to show her @ Popeye, You are mis counting….. still 9 to go…including the bowsprit…... But i'll get there ! @ Mick, I'm sorry but I can not follow you on Grant. Can you put it in other words for me ?? @ Randy, I wish that the finish line was in sight….. It's gonna take a little longer She is big now, I have to put her on a lower table, or I must stand all the time..
  20. I'm with Augie on this one…….. I have a Mac, so she/he is 1 1/2 years old now so i have 71/2 years to go before it goes to the dump…... And I know what you mean with what are you doing with your time before there where any computers…. Same as the mobil phone….. We used to do it with drums or pigeons?????? And now saving money for an other Mac ?????
