Hi Mick, I want to help you but……what i can see is that you follow the lines of the planks. That's what I do all the time. Wood makes his own way. I think when they build that ship ages ago, they have the same problem. So each ship has is own figure of planking. There is no standard measurement for it. Just follow the line and it will comes together. Maybe someone else can clear it better for you then me. Or maybe this is what the fever let me wright

Thank you Dave, She is on hold for the moment because I need a few stuff for her that I have to buy. The chains of the deadeyes are things that I don't like and I have to change that. When I have found new chains, I think I going further with her. Also I'm busy with the ratlines on the Le Mirage.

Hi Piet, I know that I have not left any comment lately but still enjoy what you are doing. To be honest, I don't know a thing about submarines, only that they are black and the are under water…. The submarines I ever see where at the RDM on the Heyplaat…and that was under the docks. So I can not tell you if you are right or wrong with a lot of things. But I still follow you !

Hi Per, I have to look twice to see that the sails are on the plans and not on the ship. That looks great! Are you making everything in advance before you place it on the ship? -

Grant, If there are pictures of a build, I will yell for it. But not for a hospital. When I want to see those, I just have to go around the corner and there is one…... @ Augie, Great that you have ordered the confed. I know that that is another beauty. I reserve a front seat at the first row when you started on her.

Hi Sherry, Don't go away that long ! You are missing all the fun…. Pain is still there but now Anja is also sick…. I'll give it to her….. Thanks for the good words. I almost love tying those knots for the ratlines

Popeye, At the bottom of the platform there is only 2 cross beams. And they are to far back to put the rope on from the lower deadeyes. I like the idea to put some eyebolts into the bow sprit and attach then the deadeyes. But Mobbsie don't want that I'm drilling holes in the bowsprit….. So, I'm still waiting till the next answer. Comes time, comes advice.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
