Hi Guy's, @ Grant, How is Paris? A little romantic with all those lights? I don't like to go to work but sometimes you have to do things that you don't like…... I'm counting the days till i have my next week off…... @ David, I don't want to go back to the routine of work. Better is the routine of building @ Jim, I'm happy to ! This is better then feeling miserable. I can laugh and make fun again !

Today I have make a few ratlines Now I found out that the mizzenmast shrouds are extended….. Cut and removed all the lanyards of those and when I finished the mainmast ratlines, i have to make those again Another lesson learned….don't make the shrouds in advance…...

Ulises, What i'm doing at the moment is…..first one pair of shrouds and then the deadeyes at the same hight. Then the lanyards and then I go to the other side and doing the same. I'll do it at this way so I'll be sure that all the deadeyes are at the same hight. For me it is easier to do it this way then first place all the shrouds and then the deadeyes because the shrouds are twisting around each other. It's the more difficult to see how the shrouds are running. I say it before and say it again…do what works for you. I keep a close eye to you

I think you are right. Choose the way you like and what works the best for you. Just try one thing and another thing. And make your choice!

And don't eat to much ! And most important thing……PICTURES !!!!!!

Hi Ulises, You are not the only one who received no notifications. I have ( again ) the same problem. I know how you feel….I did the same with the Le Mirage. As far I can see it looks good now ! All the shrouds are still hanging loose and not attach to the deadeyes?

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
