Theo, Here I'am again Chainplate looks perfect ! Nice idea to "cut" the holes for the deadeye's. But.....You are not the only one with this problem. Sometimes there is no different way to do it different when a shroud is blocking a cannon. The only answer that I can tell you is that that cannon is a spare one........or reserve. But you find a lovely solution for it. Building is just like chess......look 3 steps forward and one step back. Sjors

I have to agree with Lawrence, Very clever idea to do it this way You keep the cannons the brass colour ? Sjors

@ Sam, The copper gnomes are a little busy. But they can not work without my supervising...... Easy as it goes..... And the law is pffffffffff? Don't say that to a judge ! @ Sherry, Thank you for your nice comment pfffffffff It's something what everyone is saying....if you don't like it, change it ! Anja is talking the same, it looks good why changing ????? I've change it and that is enough 9 days off , how do I count . Take the first Saturday and count till the next Sunday. When you have more then 5 days off, you may count the other 4 days to complete a week Then you have nine days. I can count like this because I'm working also the weekends. But beware ! this is only for the working class ! Those who are retired can count what ever they want. 9 days for a week, 90 days for a month, 900 days for a year ect ect ect. @ Robert, I thought I can hide what I was doing at the Batavia...... Nice picture btw ! You have a nice day over there ? And because it is still a build log and we are going on a side kick a picture off what I have done. The first few copperplates are on it ! I like it much better ! This is the way I wanted it !!! Sjors

Pffffffffffffffffffffff for me and to all of you ! Thanks Guy's for the drinks..... I'm that drunk at the moment that i get one plate and it looks like 10 ! I have re-decorate the house for tonight as I'm expecting a lot of re-do ers....... Is there also a re-do er of the month ???????? @ Mobbsie , What goes wrong.....good question ! If I know that....I know what goes wrong....those plates are so thin...... And ( I think ) I want to do it to quickly ! My mistake ( again ) I have done nothing yet because of work ( every morning out of my bed at 4.15 AM When I'm building now it went also wrong and I want to do it right this time. So I hope next week or the other week. Then I'm off for 1 week ( 9 days without work........) Sjors

An update and not a nice one No pictures because it is no use to take pictures of a demolition....... Yep, when I got home from my work this afternoon I take a good look at the 4 rows that I have make all ready. And I don't like it at all ! There are bumps ( fragile plates ) and some of them has an opening........ I know it is at the bottom and when she is on the cradle, you don't see it but I know it. And that's for me enough. So I remove all 4 rows and have to start all over again....... But isn't it all about building ? Re-do things all the time when it is not good ? So Mobbsie, i think I need your spare plates...... About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
