Not a problem Jason but it "looks" not right...... When you look at the replicas on scale 1:1 they are always ones or twice around the belaying pin. Then they tie them up in a coil or just a loop. When the rope is jumpy, maybe you can use beeswax? Not the synthetic but the pure one. Pull the rope a few times true the wax and it stays as you wish. When you make the 8 figure then, it wil be staying an 8 figure.... I know you can buy it in the States. We don't have it and someone send it to me and it works just great ! No fuzzy rope and you can turn it in every shape that you want. Don't misunderstand me please....your work is just great and I only want to help a little.

Jason, I see that you have make multiple 8 on the pin. Maybe it is better to do it only ones or twice and then tie them up ? But good job !

Very nice again Bob, I have also a question about the canons...... That eyebolt at the end of the barrel, do you make/drill that by your self or was it that this way ? I'm asking it because I want to do the same with my canons on the Aggy. I know that the breech rope goes to that.....

So here you are....... I wil take a seat and wil follow you on this one also...... That's a nasty warp but as others are saying, send Jotika/Caldecraft an e-mail for an replacement. It's better to do that then when you are trying to soak it and get it straight ( what not is working yet ) You save your self a lot of problems . You still have the Snake to work on.....

Thanks All @ David, Shipmaster ???? Maybe from the ferry the Hollandica or Brittanica @ Mark, If I had some inspiration it should be from the Aggy. In real that looks much more impressive then on pictures...... But thanks , also for the welcome back..... @ Grant, Thanks also, The rigging Gnomes are indeed busy.... But finishing in no time ?????? I don't think so ! It cost me one day to a make one stay...... The rope is turning again ! So re-do and re-do and re-do ..... And monday my bus wil be waiting for me.........

After our vacation I have done something.... It's totally different as planking No sawdust but rope dust....... I have ( try ) to make the, Main royal stay Main topgallant stay Main topmast stay Main topmast preventer stay Then I have try to make a connexion between the eyebolt and the stay ....but again, the rope going on his own way....turning around again ! It takes some time before all the stay's are on the eyebolts. But it keep you from the street.

Hi Ben, Things happened. But I'm lucky that I have to use copper tiles and paint. So with a little bit of sanding you don't see a thing about it. But the wood is really bad quality. A little bit of shame for Caldercraft. For the rest it is a great kit ! I know for now that my next build ( kuch kuch ) wil be also from Caldercraft ! And that should be the last kit build...... I can not let Anja doing scratch and I stay with kits.....

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
