You might also consider a building log of your model so that we can enjoy it along with you. If you simply Google HMS Violet you'll find quite a lot of good images of her. Those images clearly show that here main deck wasn't planked. John

  15. In his 'Masting and Rigging', Lees talks about the brails running through blocks on either side of the mast and down to the deck, but he isn't specific of exactly where on deck they were secured. John
