  1. Hi, have you got the pictures in your pictures folder on your PC? just grab and drop them into the long narrow box under where you write in here - they should then show up. OC.
  2. Thank you kindly Edward, yep thats a weird one - you would indeed expect the line infantry to have more "show" and the skirmishers being less visible like the 2nd KGL/95th rifles. OC.
  3. Evening all. here are some pics to show my current situation - the Three Cuirassiers are about as good as I can get them and the Tirailleurs have there Shakos almost finished. OC.
  4. Its a cracking film - fictional in the film but based around Kelly with Mountbatten as her Captain. OC.
  5. Hi there Eugenio, Let me cut straight to the chase and say to you sir - with the kit you took on - with what you had in front of you in the box, you have done a Marvelous job, it was always going to be tough with this kit (For Anyone) but you have excelled with this kit stamping your own personality on it - that you will take forward with you into future builds. Keep up the good work. OC.
  6. Hi there folks, I have still been at it with the latest group of figures - I give myself about Three hours at the benche to save my eyes from suffering from using a powerful pair of optovisors, in this time last night I concentrated on painting the Eight faces - I start off with a pale pinky/sand colour, this has two coats, then I brush over my Citadel Agrex Earthshade Wash - this brings out the details like the eye sockets that would not be seen without it, after I use a more pink version of paint to bring out the cheek side details followed up with more of the pinky/sand colour on the nose/chin/cheeks, its a hit and miss job with several re-go's and touch ups till I am happy with the result. After doing these I decided to touch up my Three Cuirassiers as I felt I could sharpen them a bit - same as above with better face details and I gave the horses some Black/White details followed up with an all over wash with my Earthshade (only on the horses mind) this brings out the details and gives the horses a slight sheen as they would have been. I did not have time to take any pics but I will later today. OC.
  7. I think he may have been referring to their ground handling - I'm sure he told me some of the Erk's had to hang of the rear tail to keep the nose because of the more powerful engine - he did tell me about some of the mods to UK FAA versions like the clipped wing (by Eight Inches each side) for carrier hanger clearance when folded, also something about them bouncing on the deck when landing - needing the shocks to be softened - and the seat being lifted up for better view through the Bubble canopy Brit versions had. OC.
  8. Think I already mentioned it - my late farther used to work on the British Navy version on a land based station, he used to say they were over powerd due to that massive engine in such a light frame. OC.
  9. And this guy - amazing work. OC. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235086060-hms-chatham-f87-type-22-batch-3-frigate1700-hong-kong-july-1st-1997/
  10. Yes mate, they were the skirmish unit sent in along side the 54/55th eme ligne regiments, Ney decided to use them alongside the normal regiments to exert extra pressure on the farm. OC.
  11. Evening all, right I now have Eight 1st Regiment Tirailleurs made apart from their back pack sections that will be painted separately before being fitted. OC.
  12. Hi there, I have made/painted about 30 so far but I am hoping to do about 100-150 for the dio. OC.
  13. Hi there all, I have decided my next bunch of figures will the 1st Tirailleurs - they are very similar to the Ligne regiments but for a higher plume instead of a pom pom and knee high gaitors. Pics when I start them. OC.
  14. Evening all, over the last couple of days I have been re - working some of my figures - starting with the French 54/55th Ligne regiment as firstly I wasn't happy with the tunic shade of Blue, I mixed quite a bit of Flat Black into my dark Prussian Blue and got a slightly darker shade, I the set about re painting the Blue areas, to day I have been concentrating improving some of the details including giving the faces Two/Three levels of shading and colour variations - from slightly rose'y cheeks to highlight areas on the noses and over the cheek bones - same with the hands, I think they look better - they are more tidy now than when I first painted them - guess that's what happens to us - we all improve the more practice we have. OC.
