  1. Hi all, I am currently working on the remaining track - change of tack this time with the paintwork - I brushed the Nato Black all over them first - gave them a couple of coats - then after a quick blast with my advanced heat application tool (gonna name it a Hair Dryer) I then started painting the outside edge links - in betweens and teeth - currently working on it still. OC.
  2. Hiya mate, I contacted him last week - he said it had not long arrived back with him, he said he is having to find a glazier who does 4mm toughened glass and have it made to size before he bonds it together, I have not contacted him over the holiday as I assume he will not be working. So who knows - does seem a long time though. OC.
  3. This is superb work mate, when a model turns from just being that - a model to an engineering piece of work - takes it to another level. OC.
  4. Indeed Denis - the excuse from the delivery driver was pathetic - the admiral dealt with him the first time, but when I had finished with him when he came to collect - he was nearly crying - his own fault should have been a Two man job from the get go. OC.
  5. Tell you what - if anyone can - you are the man, you have become the go to man here for liners - great stuff. OC.
  6. Thats a job and a half mate - looking super - so makes a difference PE does despite it fiddly-ness. OC.
  7. Evening all, well I have only spent a small bit of time on the Chally as the weather last couple of days has been too nice, also we took our little princess back to the vets - she has been signed off and they don't need to see her any more - the scar is healing well with just a tiny bit of swelling (quite normal) they said, so yesterday we were all sitting in our back yard. In the evening I decided to carry on with the costume jewellery bangle - I mean other track, same procedure with the links but this time it was made in just a few hours - it will next require painting/weathering before fitting. No pics as it looks the same as the other one. Getting there. OC.
  8. Yep I agree I think there should be Three chain deck entrance tubes going through the deck - hope this pic helps to show it location its from that draftsman builders model of her that is considered very accurate. OC.
  9. I agree totally about the looks of these floating hotels - just no attraction for me either, you are doing a marvelous job Chris. OC.
  10. Thank you kindly EG, hope things are turning for the better your end my friend. OC.
  11. Indeed mate, that's what makes the Chally 2 TES version so distinctive, it has side's and Three sections around the back. OC.
  12. Evening all, a bit more progress this evenening - I firstly found out I had foregotten to put on the hub caps on the wheels - it was a bit of a pain as some of then where partly obscured by the side skirt, it wasn'y much of an ordeal though, next was part of the rear cage - this was painted while still on part of the spru, it was then dry brushed and fitted. OC.
  13. He does some amazing stuff - only critic - he doesn't do much Acrylic washes etc. OC.
  14. Evening all - yep its been raining so you can tell that means time at the bench, so I decided to attach the side skirt on the side where the track is on, after fitting this I was able to make and fit the rear mud guard, this was then painted a few coats of Nato Black the dry brushed White to make it look nice and dusty, then I did the same to the front guard - same paint/dry brushing, then I made up one of the thermal housings then painted/wash and dry brushed before fitting. Starting to look quite busy. OC.
