    i now tend to do some work and leave it overnight whilst i decide if it is going to be ok, or "DO AGAIN KEV" i am however quite happy with this so far, and will decide again after paining

    Good morning Main mast dowel sanded down to 12.7mm then put into a simple jig that allowed me to taper both sides down - the top is now 12.7mm x 8mm a nail through one end allowed me to rotate the rod through 180 degrees to do the other side, and it worked no problem used styrene strips to simulate the iron banding

    well spotted mark it is one of the upcoming projects to do again, so yes it is loose, ( as kev turns around to the wife and says) (dam thats another couple of hours to add to the build time - lol)

    good afternoon thank you everyone for the comments and PM's 42 months after i bought her my build now has a name, apart from a repaint and fitting the emergency steering chain aft is now complete, good god i actually finished a bit - lol

    Good evening everyone sorry about poor photos - i will harder better tomorrow the six quarterdeck cannons are now completed that leaves a couple to do forward in the future, as i am not sure where i am going to put them, after all i still need room for the band the next bit will be paint any showing brass bits and train the ropes to lie down they have been pva glued to stop the fuzziness biut as a result they need to be dampened again and some weights to make them look a little more realistic believe it or not as far as i am concerned the worst of this build it now over, maybe another 20-30 hours finishing things off on the hull then into phase two of the build, the bit i am so looking forward to

    agreed - the length of rope in the coils would allow the cannion to recoil past the ships centre line, i was trying to rig it as per the frawing wich came from

    Good evening everyone, and thankyou for all the Birthday messages Upper deck cannons i made a moutiin out of a mole hill on this, but I wanted it at least to look like something in the book, at 3MM the blocks still look to large, but it is staying like this now, it took me all day to get this far, the large rope still needs more work to get it ti lie down, dont know why but there is not enough rope to put a coil in it this is what i am trying to achieve there is not enough spare rope to coil it

    Good evening after the dismal progress i made last weekend, it nearly ended up being the same this weekend the tried in vane to get the right sale on the cannon rigging, but it all looked so large, so i attempted to convert some 3mm single blocks into doubles without success so i gave up and ordered 100 3mm double blocks today i tried the fire buckets, the ones supplied with the kit don't look anything like Real life, come on Jotika Caldercraft - you can do better than that, although not to scale i am going to use some from my parts bin, they could do with being thinned out inside but i am going to fill them with sand so it should not show the gold emblem is work in progress, hopefully when painted and scanned and reduced in size i will then print onto water decal sheets
