ladders good evening everyone i am trying very hard to make things better than the kit and my next mission is the ladders the instructions will have you build it all as one set x 4, glued to the side with a couple of metal strips to suggest supports well this is how i am going about it not my photo it is infact a pair of ladders and when not in use are folded against the ships side (Not my photo) i removed the brass fittings as they are all wrong, just so very wrong matched the top platform in position and pinned it so i can remove it at any time, the pin also serves the purpose of being a runner to allow the supports below movement when the platform is folded flat i made a couple of support bars and located them against the hull a piece of brass rod made up to take the ladder, which is not fixed as per instructions but stands on top of the middle platform the middle platform is being fitted the same as the higher one another ladder to go in and lot of support fittings to design and make(1).thumb.jpg.e55da85042179971c849f6c346345333.jpg)

good evening everyone having taken the bowsprit as far as i can for now the hulls is again being added to fwd liferatfs better than the instructions and look ok after spare anchors i decided to pin these into position and make them look like they are fitted when i have finished adding everything i will then secure the rail to close the gap that can be seen and now the side entry hatches there are four of these and have a pair of doors, the intention at present are to have one set one on each side

thank you mike, im used to the colours now, took a while though, as it completely changes her appearance, all mast work has come to an end for a while, my minicraft rotary drill has packed up and unable to find the collets for my dremmel

good afternoon everyone well the bowsprit became a bit of a fiasco, i spent ages lining it all up, pinning etc but the end result always looked squiffy my final attempt looks better to me, and actually i quite pleased with it soldering is getting better, as i attempt to do more scratch work, lol im going to need the practice

good evening everyone the Bowsprit is presently being built up and seams to be going together ok i have asked a question about the size of the Martingale/dolphin striker in the relevant subheading

Good evening everyone is there a rule of thumb that the martingale/ Dolphin striker is a set size depending on the Bowsprit total length my plans for the Panart mantua make it look to small, so this is about 20% londger

Good evening everyone today the main parts of the bowsprit were made up, a 3mm block is required under the mast support to get the requited angle 33 degs i think

good evening everyone mess about with the fore mast and getting some of the extra bits in place, plus more practice at soldering the radar cage is my design as a improvement over the kit and a bit of a copy of @schiffebastler, lol after all its his fault im doing all this extra work

good evening everyone its getting to the stage now where everything i do is being remade (hopefully better Foremast on the lower part of the mast there is a coller and 4 holes need to be drilled into it, and pintles inserted through which a wire hoop is fitted, this has hooks hanging from it an supports the cope coils from the pin rails (Just below the awning) this is the kit way i can do better i said the searchlight platform fitted the radar according to the kit is hung below main top in fact it is not and forms part of the planform also other things are changing as i go along like extra holes on the top for lines to pass through tonight she looks like this why are parts of the mast painted white?
