  1. Sawadee Sanit. Welcome to MSW, Is that the model of the ship you are working on?
  2. JP, I would look it from this point of view, we are all accomplished builders, all in various levels. None of us are bad, we start okay and from that point it can only get better.
  3. Charlene, I wonder if I should let you talk to my dearest, to spark an interest..... Your Bounty is coming together very nicely.
  4. Robbe33, I suspect your name is Robert and are 33 years young?! Try this store in Stockholm, Wentzels Hobby They have a huge color department, and they have recently moved to bigger place. Scroll down to the bottom of the last links page where you will find colorcharts.
  5. Robbe33, First of all, först och främst: Very warm , varmt Välkommen till Världen av Modell Skepp as we would say in Sweden. I don't know how to help you..... för saken jag har ingen aning.... lätt skratt IPMS has been around for a long time, so yes try them. Then I have a question: What is that brig you have for avatar? As for your question about paint: look at this website from ipms if you have any questions: this is the site and many of us are using many languages.... I am fluent in Swedish.
  6. Good evening Chuck, I have just finalised reading through the whole topic of the Cheerful. I must say..... I am blown away by the way you are working and making such a clean and amazing ship. I do have a question reflecting back to block #490 where you are starting palnking the deck. I see in the first picture you have laid 5 planks, all equally wide.... just wondered if I completely off but I thought even a cutter from this time era would have a kingplank (wider than the rest of the decking) running down the middle of the deck. So sad I have so many other ship projects awaiting otherwise I would certainly have signed up for this one. Oh, btw I liked the two videos with you. Now I have a face to the name. Thank you very much for this tutorial where many areas can be applied to other ships as well.
  7. Hi Titanic and welcome to MSW, Wow, I think you broke the record for a fast build! lol I understand it took longer time than the time to upload the pictures. Very nice build of Bounty. Now she needs a case and so does Revenge.
  8. Rob, I just found your build log of Caroline, I am very certain your father is smiling and looking forward to the stage when Caroline is all done and in display. It's a true honor to your father of what you are doing.
  9. Klaas, As NRG small plaque read " 'taint a hobby if you gotta hurry", so in my words you are doing amazing. Very nice Agamemnon.
  10. Cannon Fodder, I would recommend to let your ship have a seperate trip in your car, this to avoid any sort of damages while moving. The Admiral and me moved just recently and I let my ships travel "first class". Good luck with the move and setting up the new yard, which is also a lot of fun.
  11. Steve, if all decks are supposed to be planked I would suggest working from lowest deck, plank then install. But On the other hand someone else might have better ideas. Just thinking logical with my two cents ... lol
  12. Gil, those are nice very nice cases. Making justice to both HMS Victory and Connie. Hmm, you downsizing, is that possible....lol
  13. Erik, If this is the second model you are building and showing us this high quality build log, I am starting wondering if you are not a pro-builder. That look so nice. Great job!
  14. Cannon Fodder, I would recommend blade #12, which is a mini curved blade, meant for that type of cutting. But your Emma is turning out nicely.
  15. Ken, They have changed that part, they accept paypal and have "shopping bag". Did a trial buy but not accepting the final stage.
  16. That modular system could be a savior to cluttered work tables, for us in the US the Polish Zloty, the exchange rate is 1:4, in other word 1 zloty costs about 25 cents. And I am in the design stage of my new shop.
  17. Corey, How on earth do you get into the freezers? Or are you storing the next whaling ship model there?
  18. Cannon Fodder, I just found your build log and pulled out a chair to sit on while enjoying this build. Emma is one of the ships I have waiting in my yard. This looks very good and take a lot of pictures, please.
  19. Erik, I have tried out both the regular and the air brush paint of Vallejo. Amazing stuff!
  20. I totally agree with Mark, Cases..... something I am starting considering. However, you Longboat is another one that should please Chuck. Very nice.
  21. Charlene and Jerry, wow Your Bounty is coming along nicely. I have McKays book as well, a true bible and guide.
  22. Bob, no wonder the rats are so fat..... leaving food on the table like that...
  23. Bob, I hope those plants are of the legal style, don't want to see your captain in trouble with the customs. That is amazing, I like it.
