Sharp eye, Jan. When I look at the black and white bands  I would say so ... bit I just can't read the name on the bow :P

It’s run to the finish’s line now. It’s taken a week or so to get lots of little things done, but this is a great feature on the ship.

the kit only comes with 1 plane so I bought a 6 pack of them, and the upgrade comes with PE for two.

the anchor chains were added and a aftermarket set of anchors which are better than the kit blobs. Tomorrow I’ll rig this crane and do up some rigging for the paravanes, then I can do the individual stanchions

Looks like the vertical part can be lowered, which also would lower the arm. The winch might be below deck as well, although the latter is not very practical ...

Greg,

Just found your log - went back to page 1 - brilliant work in all areas especially the metal etched bits - WOA - the wood deck, aging along with your paint work are also a treat to look at - well done indeed. :imNotWorthy:

Interesting design. You cannot fully use the main forward battery while launching, retrieving, or handling the aircraft. I wonder who's bright idea that was?

B turret doesn't have a lot of leeway either  when the crane is up ...

Can you imagine what the muzzle blast from four 8" guns would do to an exposed fabric covered aircraft from that close?😞

Greg Do you know what the function is for the two smaller derricks on each side of the catapult? It seems like they are positioned over two rectangular hatches, but are they also for some aircraft handling duty?

There is actually a cover that slides off he top of the hangar, it appears to be a trolley and a larger canvas tarpaulin for the larger section (I intend to roll it up beside it.

The other Dericks I think are for ships boats that were sometimes stored on the bow section

now the railing stanchions. This is going to take a while

No it wasn’t, running the rigging will be worse

Perhaps build smaller ships ... or at a smaller scale
