Hi Pat, thank you very much.

It's very bad luck what happened to MSW. I hope it will recover soon. Maybe a fresh new start is good.

I am trying to do what I can and will upload my other build logs soon.

Have a nice day

Thanks Ron,

At the moment I am building "Matthew" and I am in the stage of rigging.

First I will repost the build log for "Istanbul Kayığı" which is finished and then repost build log of "Matthew".

As I don't have the link yet I left this line blank. Actually I could have written just "Matthew" without the hyperlink.

Hi Klaus,

thank you very much.

I was also following your build of Mayflower. Are you going to repost the photos.

May I ask you, in which German forum is your build log ?

Hallo Joachim,

Thank you very much. Plan is from the book “Mayflower, Noel Hackney” with the drawings by Wolfgang Hölzel published by Delius Klasing Verlag.

Janos, thanks.

I followed the plans/drawings of the book(Hackney/Hölzel) for the rigging, but crosschecked everything using R.C.Anderson's book (17th c rigging..)and validated.

The Anatomy of the ship "Susan Constant" by Brian Lavery was also very helpful.

Ilhan....As I am now shaping blocks to begin rigging the yards, I am wishing even more that I had thought to re-scale my plan sheets to at least 1:60.... Even to 1:50.

The launches are going to be very challenging at the 1:76 scale I am building at. Too late now.

Spending hours simply studying your incredibly fine rigging. What an outstandingly talented artist/craftsman you are my friend.

Current build - USS Constitution 1:60th (scratch)....

Thank you very much Edwin, Dave.

Dave, my Mayflower is at scale 1/60 but I think(now) 1/50 would be ideal for this ship.
