  10. Wasn't just you Boyd m8, i am about to re-start my Victory after mucking about with me 1/35 scale tanks for a while, and first job is to trim the brass castings to fit the available space. Keith
  11. At the end of the day Boyd it is your ship so whatever you want it to look like will be fine- if anyone complains tell them to go and build their own - as for the admiral mine has been looking at me for years in the workshop and shaking her head and saying your nuts! Keith
  12. Looking good Bob- i always put a lil cyano gel in the nail hole to help it stay there
  13. it can be a bit messier but epoxy resin provides a really strong bond as well and i always use this if possible for glueing eyes/ pins etc.especially if they are going to be slightly load bearing. Keith
  14. Bob i have used peco model railway track fixing pins for the bolts on the pintles and gudgeons on some builds- they even come ready blackened! For my cutty i used billings panel pins left au natural. Keith
  15. If painting brass you can either use special primer for brass etch or humbrol spray primer is very durable especially if varnished as well- i have used it on a number of brass loco kits and it seems to work. Keith
  16. Looking good Bob- just don't go tearing off your t/gallant rail again!
  17. just goes to show truth is stranger than fiction Bob- i love it when chance throws wobblies like that Keith
  18. Looking great Bob- tells Nenad off for calling a clipper a windjammer- Jock Willis would have his hide!!!! I always prefer the T & F drilling machine too Keith
