  1. Everything looks really nice and neat! And yes...the disc sander is one of the best tools you can get!!
  2. I had that glueing issue...that it dry's so fast already with the Pegasus, so I used also a wood glue that takes longer to dry. I can imagine with this model, you want indeed a slow drying glue. A lot of bulkheads in this design again, looks really good!
  3. Great idea and progress with your build. It's nice to pick a bigger scale with these vessels. You can get a lot of details in this way 👍
  4. If the coppering gets older with a nice patina, the effect is really nice I can assure you! But also a matter of taste offcourse
  5. Thanks for the tip Gregory! I now scribed a line in the wood with a small knife and filled that up with a dark wood filler, and sanded afterwards the excess filler. That seemed to work also quite ok.
  6. Wow you did a really nice job so far! Nice clean and detailed work! Going to follow this log
  7. Really exciting to see a build log on the forum here!
  8. I hope soon someone opens a building log of this ship on the forum!
  9. Really nice model! I'm very curious for the end result...what a lovely kit
  10. It would be great if that nice little launch could be bought as a seperate kit so you can use it on different ships. It think there is a good market for! Great progress on the Flirt! Curious at the end result!
  11. The Endeavour in 1:48 is a nice scale! I'm curious how big it's going to be.
  12. What's your favorite way to scribe a line in the wood, for example the lines/seams you see on a ships bow piece. This picture is from the Winchelsea build of Chuck here on the forum, and probably build with separate pieces, but you get an idea about the lines. I'm busy with a little piece of wood on the deck and I need to have some nice lines on it, but it doesn't go well
  13. Great build so far! I always liked this ship appearance, and also because I live in Friesland, but it's quite a monster to tackle.
  14. This is a nice looking subject! Cool kit from Modellers shipyard! You're doing well...and going pretty fast!
