  1. The Endeavour in 1:48 is a nice scale! I'm curious how big it's going to be.
  2. What's your favorite way to scribe a line in the wood, for example the lines/seams you see on a ships bow piece. This picture is from the Winchelsea build of Chuck here on the forum, and probably build with separate pieces, but you get an idea about the lines. I'm busy with a little piece of wood on the deck and I need to have some nice lines on it, but it doesn't go well
  3. Great build so far! I always liked this ship appearance, and also because I live in Friesland, but it's quite a monster to tackle.
  4. This is a nice looking subject! Cool kit from Modellers shipyard! You're doing well...and going pretty fast!
  5. I don't build this model but it is a joy to follow this log! And also lot to learn from it. Nice to see the mini version of you once in a while on the ship, it gives great perspective...it was quite a big ship!
  6. That model turned out great! You did a very good job at it I also really do like your baseplate!
  7. Hello people! I have a question regarding the Pegasus deck plan. I've already mentioned it in my build log, but thought I had more chance on clarification here. https://modelshipworld.com/topic/23098-hms-pegasus-by-mugje-amati-164-second-build/page/6/ The question was regarding a king plank for the HMS Pegasus on the main gun deck. There is a king plank on the beautiful renderings of the 3D Swan class Model that I showed in my log. And also if I look at the wonderful Vulture that Dan Vadas build, there is a king plank too. But like Blue Ensign stated in my build log: " the king plank was only used on the lower deck, raised 1" above the others to take the deck beam pillars, with the edges chamfered. This of course doesn't feature on the Pegasus kit. The centre line plank of the lower deck is thicker to take the tenons of the deck beam pillars, but there's no such purpose for the upper deck." So do someone has a definitive answer? Or does that not exist in the wonderful ship modeling hobby
  8. Nice build again! I'm curious how it proceeds . I like that Chris uses a lot of bulkheads in his designs.
  9. Lovely boat, and great build log! The thread looks a bit furry tho...maybe something to replace in the kit to further enhance it
  10. Just placed a review of the wood in my log! https://modelshipworld.com/topic/23098-hms-pegasus-by-mugje-amati-164-second-build/page/5/
