  1. Hull is closed! Just a snapshot before sanding Started 16 april so I did it in 14 weeks 🫠, not the fastest but enjoyed it, and glad it's done. Last few weeks it's nice weather here in Holland and there are quite a few chores in the garden and the house, so that takes hobby time . Curious to see what it will look like once it is sanded. Sad thing always is...you get really good at something when you nearly finished lol...at least that's true for me 🥲 Oh yeah...side note, after such a long phase it was really satisfying to clean up the craft room, workbench etc.
  2. Welcome!

  4. Are you not worried about dust on your finished Indy, doing your construction work nearby?
  5. It's a fantastic result...so much to learn from your build log and indeed really impressive for a first build!
  6. That was something what I thought also simulate by cutting fine lines, and sounds easy. For the rest...nice build!
  7. Love the lines of this ship! 💫 Always loved the Dutch designed ships ❤️ Why is it called "Hooker ship"? 😛
  8. Amazing! Congratulations with your succes...and seeing your ropes getting used in different builds here on the forum, that's some great advertising
  9. It's quite interesting to see how this process takes place....thanks for sharing this
  10. Larger then I expected seeing your hand in comparison (can't read imperial system🫠) but nice job! Love these open construction little boats.
  11. No rest, straight to the next one! Nice! Good luck with another beautiful kit
  12. 1mm is not that bad indeed...like you said, split the difference and in the end result you won't notice anything different.
  13. Those wales look beautiful! And your hull looks super smooth! 🤩 For the sand through spots...maybe some sanding dust with diluted PVA to fill it up? Or mixing some paints to match the color of your pear and cover the underlying wood with it (would test both methods first on scrap pieces). Or like you said...if it don't bothers you, then it's okay ofcourse
  14. That looks like a beautiful way of displaying her! Curious about the final photo's!
