  5. Mark, I use vinegar as well. The time is about 1/2 hour. The vinegar leaves a slight residue from the reaction with the brass. Acetone cleans it up pretty good.

  11. Try using a smaller diameter drill bit then use a reamer to widen it out. This will prevent spliting. David B

  13. Russ, one of the ways I have used for making brass stripping is to cement the sheet between two pieces of wood with contact cement. Then I would cut to width on my Preac. I have gotten down to 1/32 many times David B
