  1. Beautiful - I think the “boxwood” color version would be best and people can paint them white if they like.
  2. Congrats on completion of the main framing, took me a couple of years to do that on my Pegasus! And then I had to do it all again! Amazing amount of work for 5 1/2 months.
  3. I had to clean up the Dockyard before going on vacation, but thought I would post a couple of pictures of the two models, both in the same scale and of roughly the same timeframe - 1764 for Winchelsea and 1776 for Pegasus.
  4. Nice progress Ron, yeh - the bollard timbers and cant frames are the hardest to learn - but after them the square frames will seem like a walk in the park. Keep up the good work.
  5. Small progress to Winnie as I’m spending the small amount of modeling time that I currently get on my Pegasus model. Stove has been completed and I have started work on the gunport lids that are required.
  6. Hey Chuck, on fore can’t frame #10, it looks like the lower chock joint doesn’t match the run of the others?
  7. That is a very clever way to construct the Cant frames Chuck! Very clever indeed.
  8. Chris - Id be interested to know what contemporary source you had for adding the “extra” two forward gunports on the Quarterdeck - as I have not come across it.
  9. Some progress The taffrail capping pieces on both sides were completed and then I started work on the Quarter Piece blanks - fitting to the hull shape takes time - the extra meat left on these is for the relief carvings that will be added to them - the one you see in the picture is the 4th test piece and I’m sure there will be more!
  10. Hopefully David will agree to complete the rest of the carvings for the model.
  11. While trying to make the Quarter piece blanks, I deamed it a good idea to mark out where the Quarter badges would be so there would be no interference between them, so here is the beautiful QB that I commissioned from David Antscherl.
  12. Very nice start to the deck planking, much easier now after that central section is completed.
  13. Congrats on the completion of your model.
  14. Yes Allan - They will get rounded above deck line.
