  1. Hi Paul, Glad you are back, didn't feel the same without your mighty ship model. I hope you consider re posting all of your old pictures, would be a loss to the forum if not as there was some truly inspiring work you did and all those amazing details you manage to create. Look forward to seeing the log continue. Ben
  2. Nice to see you posting your aggie build again mobbsie, I will watch with interest again. Ben
  3. Limber boards turned out great there Rusty, I think it was me who asked if you were going to add them. Sorry for the extra work but it was worth it! Ben
  4. Hi Aldo, and welcome back home, Glad to see you are continuing the pegasus, I will follow along.. ben
  5. Hey JP, Looks like your off and running with the hull planking, VERY nice work up to now. It would appear that you planking plan is working well - the symetry when looking in the picture at the stem is good, If you can keep it within 1/32" you are doing great. Iam now getting auto updated whenever you post on your log so I will be following along. ben
  6. Hi Toni Glad to see you have restarted your logs, I just put both of mine back on today, longboat included. I look forward to seeing your Atlanta and longboat progress, I shall be watching. Ben
  7. Very glad you are back in the saddle with your logs Sjors, now we need to see how the balance of power shifts for the sjorsian wars again! Lol Ben
  8. Hey Augie, I just noticed that the Syren build logs are now grouped in with the build logs for kits and not in its own section like before! So you've been transferred in with all of us ruffians. So glad your back mate, I expect to be enjoying the re hashed jokes immediately. Lol. Ben
  9. Nice to see you back Ron, I do hope you can recover all your old pictures, would be a great loss to the site not to have them. Ben
  10. Oarlocks and Horse added, using supplied wire from kit, oarlocks will be painted red to match. Friezes were added, I had to resize them down to 88% of original to get the sizing to fit, then I sprayed them with artists fixative to stop it from fading, then I used rubber cement on both surfaces to glue them on. Final pic shows it next to her big sister ( USF Confederacy ), for which I will have to build 2 slightly smaller ( 3/16" scale ) ships boats. This marks an end to all the old pics up to now, I am currently building and painting all of the mast and spars and their associated metal work, more pics to follow with comments always welcome. ben
  11. Quite a bit of work done in next pics, floors added, rear cockpit, siderails, thawarts. Hull marked off and painted white. Windlass made and installed. Mast hoop metal work and belaying pins installed and painted black.
  12. Here is planking completed and stained, one pic shows the stem head glued back on after I carelessly broke it off, and the treenailing which was done using elmers natural wood filler.
