Good day Ondras,
Lovely model and hjgh level craftmenship !!!
Like it very , very much!!!
Could it be happened that designed "masts" happened to be too small ( kind of proportional issue) for the size of the hull ?
of couse it is just my private opinion /impression after watching photo of your build log , I understood that everything made as per original drawing , but... :)))
All the best!
ps
Could it be played in some comp. drawing programms , how general rigging plan will be ooks like , if masts , top- masts , etc...all will be increased in length of approx 5 to 10 % of original drawing size ?
Greetings Kirill. Thank you very much for your response, you hit the spot where I was wondering about mast height. I calculated the masts according to the table in the book "Mondfeld - Historic Ship Models" and the dimensions fit the plan.
However, the lower parts (main mast, fore mast, mizen mast) still seemed short to me. I compared the masts with the masts according to the Zeehaen plan and they turned out to be about 10 percent longer. So the masts are raised.
The Main yard and Fore yard locations will now sit as well..🔥

I have never seen swivel guns with so much detail and so well done, congratulations.
Thank you very much friends, I am trying my best..😁
Finally the main lower parts of the masts..🔥
Temporary direction signs created for exact machining directions..
The tops are machined and holes drilled for the location of the lower tie-down points..
Finished lower parts of the masts..
(Manual dividing device)
Done..💥
Now tops and topmasts..🔥

Thank you very much friends. thank you for the like.
I'm continuing with the rotating chamber cannons on the railing, luckily there will only be four.
I found the current cannon in a book by Ab Hoving: Het Schip Van Wilem Barents and painted it.
Then the turning began. It is very small against already created cannons.
Created pockets for exchange chambers.
Of course, you need to start making a larger number, they slowly decrease during the work..
Added chambers..
Result OK..

I continue on the boat..🔥
I found beautiful photos of the Willem Barentsz boat replica. On the website of the modeler Heinrich. shipsofscale.com/sosforums/threads/high-hopes-wild-men-and-the-devil’s-jaw-willem-barentsz-kolderstok-1-50.8662/page-100
The tops of the ribs have been cleaned, the ribs have been cleaned inside, the top edge has been ground flat..
Completed the last rib and bottom of the boat..
Outer hull and bottom of boat waxed..🎨
Now the railings and benches..🔥💥

Another milestone behind me, the body of the boat finished, sanded and cut from the hoof with a razor saw..🔥💥
Again I used the option of dispersion glue. The sunken place on the bow after removal is wetted and pushed from the inside into the correct place..
A preview of the boat on the ship's deck..😍
Now clean the ribs and arrange.🔥

I continue on the work boat. Bending workshop..
According to the paper templates, I create more rows of boards, the edges highlighted with graphite..
The third row already has an extreme side bend. After a good soaking, the 0.8x3.5 mm strips can be bent well, just persistence. Step one - side bend..
Step 2 - after drying, bend into the shape of the torso, then fit.. I will save material against carving from wood plates..👍
The last part, closing the bottom. Too small, the bottom will not be visible, I helped myself by assembling the moldings from two parts. Otherwise, it would not be possible to do it well..🔥

I continue on the work boat. According to the plan, the boat has colorful decorations. I didn't want to do this on the boat, but the color strip will match the whole boat..
So spray paint white and then red triangles. The board is 2.2 mm..
Red...
And the resulting decorations..
I'm repainting and now just clean wood...🔥

There's a Gorch Fock in one display case there ... something I'm attempting to restore - estimated age 50 - 70 years.
You have great eyes Johnny. Of course, the plan in our "eastern" sector was for the Soviet ship Tovarišč.
