I try and get to at least two BTTC races each season, mainly Donington Park,season opener and mid season at Oulton Park.

Ah! but now they have huge screens following the action on the parts you can't see, well over here in the UK anyway, but I would of thought the US does as well.

We're not allowed to lay bricks 3°c and under. Makes for workshop time😁 My son-in-law is a painter and decorator and tries to keep inside work for poor weather.

In one naval/seafaring novel I've read the smugglers kept one or two long guns on deck as chase guns probably 6 or 9 pdrs to try and disable the chasing revenue or RN vessel, but otherwise I would think a few swivels would be adequate to give a smuggler a bit of firepower. My twopence worth🙂 -

I agree with Ekis on the arch stones, follow the curvature with a single large keystone top centre Photo from internet I think perhaps that you might need a gate house much like the York bar type Pic from net A good example is Micklegate Bar. I'll stop now and get my coat😂

Thank you Glenn, you did a beautiful job of Lady Nelson, I've been having a read through, I will borrow your design for the bowsprit bits as it looks very good and much better than I had in mind, which would have been the same as the main bits but smaller. Cheers 😉

The paints are opened and pieces sorted, construction begins!! I'm in two minds whether to watch from the easy chairs or the hammocks, as Lou says they're really comfortable 😄 I like the idea of a waterline setting😉 Happy building brother!
