To be honest, I put it to one side whilst I concentrated on Winchelseas stern and Q galleries and then I was tempted to the card side by persons unnamed 🤔😂😇
Then I thought I need to get the F4U-1A moved on.
I'm sure you'll have a fine time in Sheringham. Enjoy! Are you going to take a trip on the NNR steam trains?

I'm present. Do you mind if I take the hammock again!
Looking forward to this one.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a try on the fuselage as I don't like the freehand attempt I've tried on it
it is a bit too fuzzy
the wings are glue on and the gaps are filled
Also I've put a coat of intermediate blue on the underside of one wing
Thankyou for all the likes, comments and looking in.
Cheers

Just a little update, I've had a bit of a practice run on the transition of the colours. the engine cowl was the perfect practice piece.
this was a freehand experiment, with no masking. Between the two blues I have touched it up with a brush. From the white to intermediate blue it's left as was sprayed.
I'll be interested in your opinions, for or against, any suggestions as to wether there are better methods to achieve a softer line between colours will be gratefully received.
Thanks for the likes and interest.

I've been finding that the Mig acrylics have a sheen rather than dead flat like Tamiaya. I thought it was just me

No, it's not just you😊😉I assumed they were a flat/matt finish
but it doesn't mention on the bottle, anywhere that I can see.
personally I quite like the finish of the Mig colours.

It's good things are a little more settled now, but as the others have said, get that follow up with your GP, and look after her OC😉
Take care and stay safe.

An absolutely stunning rendition of a fine frigate, with amazing detail.
My hat is doffed!

So, I managed to complete the rigging, fit the gun and then realised that the windshield needed fitting 🙄. So very carefully in order not to snap any cables or knock the gun off, glued the very last piece on. That's it, my first serious card model finished 😊
There are plenty of lessons learned, mainly to take a bit more care with glue, especially the CA used to attach the rigging.
Taking more time to match the colours for the edges, is also something I'll need to do next time.
All in all, it's been a fun little build, I've enjoyed building this plane. It was fairly straightforward, and would be a very suitable subject for novice card modellers.
Thanks to everyone who has followed along and for the likes, your input is greatly appreciated.
@ccoylegets a special mention because, it's all his fault😁
Till next time

Lovely clean planking Frank, beautiful work all round.

Rain has stopped play, early day from work, so I used some unexpected free time to put together the Lewis MG
The tweezer ping happened as I was trying to attach the handle, so improvising and overcoming, a small piece of brass wire became the handle.
It goes without saying, the barrel is brass too, I've still not managed to roll the small tubes satisfactorily 😬. I'll keep practicing though 😉. Just have darken the edges.
Thanks for looking in and the likes.

Bit more done with the tailplane rigging
another long look at the rigging diagram and I think that's it for the rear of the plane.
So before I move onto the wings I've got a couple more bits to do, starting with the weapon.
the version I've done has the Lewis gun.
To be honest I have toyed with the idea of buying the aftermarket weapons, but that would feel too much like cheating😇🤭
As always thanks for visiting, commenting and all the likes.

Vought F4U-1A Corsair by Edwardkenway - FINISHED - Revell - 1:32

Done a little bit more, intermediate blue on the other wing and a coating of white
had to stop as I'm having trouble with the airbrush clogging up. So it's having a full clean with the parts soaking in cleaner fluid.
Thanks for dropping by and the 👍.
