    I understand, Nenad, I started as a freelancer August 2001 ... It must have been very hard to make ends meet during that time. I don't know what the currency change to Euro did for your country, but here the banks stole 10% for each exchanged guilder. We have our books all over the house, but for the bedroom, although there are some stacks there too. For the office, you have to make do with what you have. I've been lucky probably, for I've always had my desk either facing a window, or my back at/to the wall, however small the room was. BUT, this your office, and you've got it finished!!! Congratulations on this father, and son office makeover. You both have learned from the experience. Now we can learn from your experience with the Cutty Sark As you, we are looking forward to some more magnificent shipmodelling!!!

    Nenad, I like the "Lion King" behavior ... that was about time to me. I'd expected you to be looking into your office, instead of at the wall. Furthermore, could you turn those brackets (180 degrees) from your "cabinets" so they are inside them, instead of showing on top? These remarks are based on my observations, and personal preferences Cheers

    Jesse I got the same one, but for the colour. It's used for the quick pics. However, it doesn't do close ups very well. I use a Canon EOS 400D for that. An oldy but it does the trick. I try not to drop them ... so far I've managed ... knock on wood. The digital stuff is so much more vulnerable unfortunately. Sometimes a mere sneeze will damage it

    Clare, I refered merely to the standards (as per Druxey's explanation). Setting up the hull, you did a lot faster compared to wood

    Druxey, That would mean, normally they wouldn't be used on a ship this size?

    Looks good, solid. Now it has a sturdy look on those sliders

    You could use a lighter shade if to busy ... I presume your test piece has to short a plank for the model to be used, at least for what I see. Personally I don't like very clearly visible treenails, but that's a matter of preference. I think it will do fine for the current deck Cheers

    That really is awesome ... I don't know what they are called, but those plastic tops for the ship's boats are fabulous. My what a fiddly work you've done ... P.s. Quicker would be to use thicker rope on those drums wouldn't be in scale though

    Masthead is looking real good Mobbsie. I like that yard with the sail, attached. The stiching looks very good on it and I do like those other details. The fixing loops make it complete ... nice come back

That's your prerogative, however, to others she will just be the contrary ...     Sorry to hear about your wife's parents. I know partly what you're going through - my mother had parkinson + altzheimer in the end - and at times it sucks the energy right out of you. I wish you and your family lots of strength. I like your "ratliner", an ingenious piece of work, small but efficient Cheers

    Looks to me the inverted them, thus giving the side some more strength, and get the shape right. Nice bit of work in card ... wood is considerably faster
